Demi Moore is marking the fourth anniversary of her wedding to husband Ashton Kutcher by taking his last name as her own.

Kutcher married the Ghost star in 2005, becoming stepfather to her three daughters from her previous marriage to Bruce Willis.

The actress has so far refused to alter her name – but now she has decided to officially become Demi Kutcher, according to reports.

A source tells Britain’s The People, “Demi didn’t want to change her name at first because it didn’t seem right but now she finally feels ready.”

Ashton Kutcher: My relationship with Demi is so solid

Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore

Ashton Kutcher knows the secret to happiness, and it’s Demi Moore.

“The real trick is putting yourself around people you admire,” he says in the latest issue of Parade magazine (on newsstands Sunday). “That’s why I married my wife. I locked in the brightest light in the room.”

His nearly four-year marriage to the 46-year-old actress is as strong as ever, thanks to a pact they made when they first wed.

“My wife and I have an agreement in our marriage, and part of that contract is that we are going to shine our lights on each other,” he says. “My relationship with Demi is so solid, thank God, and we’re so communicative about the way that we’re feeling, that we don’t allow space to come between us. I definitely believe that if you stop working at relationships, they go away.”

The 31-year-old star wasn’t always so lucky. Before he rose to fame, he recalls early years when he was broke.

“I bought my whole family these fake watches and fake Versace pants and fake anything I could find, like fake Calvin Klein T-shirts, so I could take them home and show them how well I was doing even though I didn’t have a place to live.”

Prior to meeting Moore, he even traded up for a good night’s sleep.

“It was always a good thing when you hooked up with a girl and got to sleep someplace nice for the night,” he says. “I wasn’t there to stay, but if you did hit it off with a girl, her place was always nicer than yours.”

Still, Kutcher admits there’s a downside to living the Hollywood life.

“Of course there is a price,” he says. “I’ve only been back home to Iowa once in the last year and a half to see my family. I go and shoot a film and spend months away from my wife and my girls [Rumer, 20, Scout, 17, and Tallulah, 15]. And that’s a price to pay. I also don’t get to see my friends very often. You can’t complain when you’re so blessed. I get so many things that the notion of me complaining is obscene. It’s absurd. It’s ridiculous.”

The former That ’70s Show actor an dPunk’d host stresses that he’s the same goofball he’s always been.

“I’m still looking for trouble. I’m still disruptive,” he tells Parade. “I’m still doing some things that other people don’t like.”

He adds, beaming: “I hear, ‘You’re a moron,’ about once a day from someone in a genuine way — not as a joke.”

Ashton Kutcher: I’m Still Looking For Trouble

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher won international fame and fans with his role on the hugely popular That ’70s Show. The Spread star reveals to Parade’s Jeanne Wolf how he handles the stress of fame. Plus, what first drew him to wife Demi Moore and how the duo make it work.

Gravitating towards fame.
“Once I got a taste of it, I went: ‘I can do anything. I can do absolutely anything.’ And you start to believe it. I know it to be true because I’ve seen it happen. I’ve experienced it. I’m ambitious. I try to make it look like it’s not work–that’s the biggest key. I’ve got it pretty good. There’s no sense in making life seem like it’s a struggle, because that doesn’t make anybody feel better.”

How he and Demi make it work.
“The real trick is putting yourself around people you admire. That’s why I married my wife. I locked in the brightest light in the room. My wife and I have an agreement in our marriage, and part of that contract is that we are going to shine our lights on each other. My relationship with Demi is so solid, thank God, and we’re so communicative about the way that we’re feeling that we don’t allow space to come between us. I definitely believe that if you stop working at relationships, they go away.”

On being more physically and emotionally exposed onscreen than ever before.
“Why did I make a movie [Spread] with that kind of indulgence in cars and the fancy house, with my character manipulating people and seducing them? Because people can feel the pain of it. As much as you hate this guy for how selfish he is, you know that hurts. It’s the tale of what happens when you’re just a taker.”

Back when times were tough.
“When I told my dad I was going to move to New York and be a model, he didn’t say I was an idiot, but he insinuated it. After a while, I was broke, really running out of money. Christmas was coming. I knew I had to go home for the holidays, but I couldn’t expose the fact that it wasn’t going well. So I bought my whole family these fake watches and fake Versace pants and fake anything I could find, like fake Calvin Klein T-shirts, so I could take them home and show them how well I was doing even though I didn’t even have a place to live. I knew I wasn’t going back to Cedar Rapids.

Trading up for a good night’s sleep.
“I never had to put myself in a compromising situation to keep going, but sometimes I think that would have been easier. It was always a good thing when you hooked up with a girl and got to sleep someplace nice for the night. I wasn’t there to stay, but if you did hit it off with a girl, her place was always nicer than yours.”

The downside of Hollywood life.
“Of course there is a price. I’ve only been back home to Iowa once in the last year and a half to see my family. I go and shoot a film and spend months away from my wife and my girls. And that’s a price to pay. I also don’t get to see my friends very often. You can’t complain when you’re so blessed. I get so many things that the notion of me complaining is obscene. It’s absurd. It’s ridiculous.”

Holding on to his wild sense of humor.
“I’m still looking for trouble. I’m still disruptive. I’m still doing some things that other people don’t like. I hear, ‘You’re a moron,’ about once a day from someone in a genuine way–not as a joke. I see it, and I read it. I don’t have anything that’s too sacred to make fun of. The truth is that I’m an idiot. I am. I don’t do things by the rules sometimes. I say things that I probably shouldn’t say. I push buttons. I deserve to be made fun of. And I feel like, as soon as you can make fun of something, it instantly removes the fear.”

Ashton Kutcher talks about Twitter

Ashton Kutcher

Tina Dupuy at FishbowlLA covered Ashton Kutcher’s recent talk at Fortune Magazine’s Brainstorm Tech Con in Pasadena. Below are a few key points she put together about why Kutcher Tweets. With nearly 3 million followers, he’s definitely a prolific user. But will he be the biggest loser if the medium fails?

“I shut down a website everyday because I send too much traffic there from my Twitter feed.” The entrepreneur/entertainer told the crowd and his onstage interviewer.

When asked why he tweets Kutcher admitted that it’s fun. He keeps in touch with his audience and it’s a platform to syndicate content. “I started Twitter as a communication device to stay in touch with fans.”

He’s not an accidental tourist of tech. He seems to know exactly what he’s doing and why it has value. “Do you know how much studios pay to get in touch with an actors audience?!” asked Kutcher. “I do all that with a touch of a button.”

Serwer wondered about the fact that he has more followers than CNN on Twitter. Kutcher replied,”I’m shocked that an individual could have as much influence [in social media] than a media conglomerate.”

He said his new film The Killers needed a joke for a scene so he got on Twitter and asked his fans for suggestions. And he got them. Tons. “I don’t know if it will end up in the final cut.” No word on if the fan would get a credit or payment.

Why does Twitter work, asked Serwer. “It’s the ability to create viral syndication quickly,” responded Kutcher.

Which all leads back to advertising and the ability to sell whatever product to a growing audience who has grown immune to the old models. “Banner ads are like billboards,” said Kutcher. Meaning people are so used to them they no longer see them. He stated that entertainment and advertising “they are going to have to marry each other in a deeper way.”

Mischa Barton heading to work

Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton is on schedule to return to the set of her CW show The Beautiful Life, People confirms.

The 23-year-old actress “will be resuming production as planned with the rest of the cast in NYC,” her rep tells People. “She’s back to business as usual.” The show is due to start filming Friday.

Barton was hospitalized July 15, but has been making improvements, her rep told People.

Ashton Kutcher, creator and producer of The Beautiful Life, recently talked about Barton at a technology conference in Pasadena, Calif. “I can tell you right now Mischa Barton is doing great,” Kutcher said, according to Reuters.

Demi & Ashton want to save Mischa Barton

Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher launch a “Save Mischa Barton” campaign!

The Kabbalah-following couple want to spearhead the recovery of the deeply troubled actress, who landed in a Los Angeles psychiatric unit after a bizarre meltdown.

“Demi and Ashton both feel Mischa has an incredible career ahead of her if she can free herself from her demons of poor self-esteem and substance abuse,” said a source.

The couple believes the teachings of Kabbalah – a type of Jewish mysticism – can help Mischa, the source said, adding that both Demi and Ashton generously reached out to Mischa’s family to offer their assistance.

Ashton feels particularly responsible for Mischa because he’s overseeing the production of her new series, The Beautiful Life in which she plays a hard partying aging model. Ash personally selected her for the role.

According to an insider, Ashton learned of Mischa’s sorry state when they filmed the pilot in Canada several months ago.

“Mischa was seen several times sobbing to a friend on her cell phone,” confided the insider.

After she was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold on July 15, Ashton and Demi stepped in.

“Demi told Ashton that they had to do something to help,” the source divulged.

Ashton Kutcher suffers a ruptured eardrum on the set of ‘Five Killers’

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher is recovering from a ruptured eardrum after he was hospitalized in the Bahamas earlier this month during shooting for his new movie Five Killers.

The actor was filming scenes for the action comedy in Nassau with co-star Katherine Heigl when he complained of a severe headache.

He took a break from shooting but worried crew members admitted him to a nearby medical center when they noticed he had a bloody ear, reports the National Enquirer.

Doctors diagnosed the problem and treated Kutcher as his wife Demi Moore dashed to his bedside. She was relieved to find he was back to his comedic self by the time she arrived, joking around with medical staff and film assistants.

A source tells the tabloid, “When Ashton saw Demi, he said cheerfully, ‘Hi, honey! I’m fine. Come join the party!’”

Medics gave the former That ’70s Show star the all-clear and he was allowed to fly to Georgia to finish working on Five Killers. And Kutcher refused to let his injury hold up production on the movie. The insider adds, “Ashton was a trooper. He didn’t even miss a day of filming.”
