“Two and a Half Men” star Ashton Kutcher was spotted sitting court-side at the Los Angeles Lakers game Tuesday night at the Staples Center. Kutcher, sporting some scruffy facial hair and baseball hat, cheered on the Lakers as they defeated the Houston Rockets 108-99.

The newly-single Kutcher — he split from wife, Demi Moore, back in November — recently returned to Los Angeles after spending the holidays overseas. The 33-year-old tweeted photos from Italy with pals. His time spent with screenwriter Lorene Scafaria sparked rumors that he may have found a new flame, but reports claiming the the pair were more than friends were quickly quashed.

That is, according to Ashton‘s rep. The actor snapped and tweeted a photo of himself alongside his business partner Matt Mazzant and Lorene Scarfia hanging out in Italy over the holidays, tweeting:

“Roman holiday with homies.”

This sparked a huge flurry of internet rumors that Ashton has already moved on to dating someone else just a month after announcing his split from wife Demi Moore.

“They are just friends,” Kutcher’s rep tells PEOPLE of his relationship with the writer-director, who penned Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist. “They are working on a potential project together about an Italian soccer team.”

There you have it. Just some innocent fun in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Yeah, I’m jealous.

Ashton Kutcher has stepped out with a new woman, and according to US Weekly, he hooked up with her before he split from wife Demi Moore.

33-year-old Kutcher spent Christmas in Italy with screenwriter Lorene Scafaria (pictured above). She was, up until recently, dating The OC actor Adam Brody.

In exclusive Us Weekly photos, the duo were snapped checking out the sights in Italy, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa over the Christmas holiday.

During their private sojourn, the couple tooled around in a Porsche Carrera Sports 2011 and holed up at a private pad. During a romantic lunch at Pizzeria Trattoria Toscana in Pisa on Christmas Eve, they “held hands,” witness Alex Thorpe tells Us. “They shared spaghetti, and he paid.”

Meanwhile Moore, 49, kept a low-profile, spending her holidays with family — including daughter Rumer Willis — in Parrot Cay. “She’s doing really well,” a source tells Us. “[She's] waiting for all of her stuff to come out in the new year [including] her Lifetime show that she’s executive producing.”

Despite 33-year-old Scafaria’s romance with Brody and Kutcher’s marriage to Moore, a source says they have been stoking a romance since meeting in February, when Kutcher tried out for a film she wrote. (Steve Carell ended up getting the part for the film Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.)

“Ashton started seeing her while each was in a relationship,” says a source. Reps for both Kutcher and Scafaria deny this and tell Us “They’re just friends.”

And it wasn’t the first field trip for the duo — on Dec. 9 and 10, they cozied up at Yellowstone Club ski resort (snowboarding and playing shuffleboard) in Montana. Kutcher’s ex Moore, of course, announced their plans to divorce in late November following his revealed affair with a different woman, 22-year-old Sara Leal, in September.

MTV is bringing back it’s hidden-camera prank classic, ‘Punk’d’. The network has ordered a new version, with Jason Goldberg and Ashton Kutcher on board as executive producers.

MTV plans to announce the show’s host/hosts during its New Years Eve party live telecast next week. Access Hollywood reported months ago that a new show was in the works, using different celebrity hosts for each episode — and noting in the premiere that Justin Bieber is the man in the van.

MTV wouldn’t confirm any details about the show. But it’s fair to assume that Kutcher himself, now costarring on CBS’ Two and a Half Men, won’t likely be on camera. And an announcement with details about the show is firmly tied to the network’s NYE in NYC 2012 telecast on Dec. 31.

Demi Lovato and Tyler Posey of MTV’s Teen Wolf will host the holiday special with musical performances by host Demi Lovato, along with Selena Gomez, J Cole, Jason Derulo, and Mac Miller from MTV’s Times Square studio.

What do you think about ‘Punk’d’ coming back? I didn’t mind the show – for the first little bit. After a while, it got old… same ol’ schtick. If they could freshen it up a bit – I think it would do pretty well!

Unless – they actually do sign Bieber as the host. Then I can’t watch.

Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele hit the red carpet hard last night at the Hollywood premiere of their new movie, ‘New Years Eve’. Sidenote: anyone else find it strange that the movie premiered in Hollywood, when the movie is filmed in NYC? It’s one of those films where NYC is a big character in the movie! Why did it premiere in Cali? The city’s not big enough for Angelina Jolie and Katherine Heigl’s hair (okay, okay, I’ll stop)?

Anyway, back to Ashton and Lea. Ashton sure looked pretty happy, sans wedding ring and Kabbalah string bracelet. His hands were all over Lea, who plays his love interest in the film. Several sources who were at the premiere commented on the chemistry between the two on the red carpet, and from these pictures, you can see what they’re talking about!

I truly hope there’s nothing going on. I think they’d make an awful couple. PLUS – Lea’s about 5 years too old for Ashton.

As Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore work privately to finalize their divorce after 6-years of marriage, insiders are coming out saying that they know exactly why the couple couldn’t make their marriage work. This time, PEOPLE magazine spoke with someone who claims it was his wandering eyes and her insecurities that caused the marriage to fail.

A “longtime friend” of Ashton’s claims:

“[The marriage had] been deteriorating for a long time. Ashton was ready to end it, [but] he wanted to wait for Demi to actually do it. He loved her but couldn’t live with her. ”

“[Demi] really wanted to save the marriage but couldn’t deal with the pain of his cheating.”

“They were fed up with each other.”

The friend also says that the 15-year age difference made Demi constantly doubt herself.

“If anyone was uncomfortable with the age difference, it was Demi, not Ashton. She drove him crazy after a while with questions and doubts.”

Now that the official announcement of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore‘s divorce has been made public, a source reveals to PEOPLE that the pair were constantly fighting, and that was the main reason why they decided to end their 6-year marriage.

“Ashton is unhappy; [Demi]‘s unhappy. It just got to a point where they had to end it.”

“The fighting could get pretty intense. Whatever counseling they did was fine for a quick fix but could not get to the heart of the problem.”
