Playboy boss Hugh Hefner is hoping to convince the Olsen twins to celebrate their 22nd birthday in June by stripping off in the magazine. The media mogul has attempted to woo Mary-Kate and Ashley to disrobe in Playboy since they turned 18 – and he’s now launched a renewed bid to tempt them out of their clothes for a special celebratory photo shoot.

A source tells American magazine Star, “Hef thinks the twins are every young man’s fantasy.” But insiders insist the Olsens are holding out for a more classy magazine deal, telling Star, “They’re all about high-end fashion these days. They want to do Vogue.”

In a new ad campaign to be unveiled today at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard, PETA blasts the 21-year-old star sibs — whom they dub the “Trollsen Twins — for wearing fur and including it in their collections Elizabeth and James and The Row.”Thin-twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie,” the group said in a snarky statement today.

The new ad features the twins under the headline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People.”

To coincide with the ad, PETA has also launched a new web site devoted to “Hairy-Kate” and “Trashley.”

It features, among other things, a mash-up video called “Full House of Horrors,” in which footage from the twins’ former hit TV show is interspersed with – you guessed it – scenes of animals being killed for fur.

“No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs,” PETA’s Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon said in a statement.

After defeating cancer and winning the Tour de France seven years in a row, Lance Armstrong is tackling a new challenge: a fifteen-year age gap between him and new fling Ashley Olsen.

The new couple was spotted at New York hotspot Rose Bar on October 29 by an eyewitness who tells Us Weekly, “they were being very flirtatious.” The next night, the May-December duo took in Broadway play Young Frankenstein before dinner and wine at the Waverly Inn.

And while Armstrong prepped to run last Sunday’s New York City Marathon, the lovebirds shacked up at luxe hotel Soho House, where they both had booked rooms.

Sources tell Us, however, that Olsen shouldn’t let herself get swept away by the whirlwind Big Apple romance. “Lance is a candidate for a midlife crisis,” says a source close to the divorced father of three.

Indeed, Armstrong might already be in his midlife crisis: he recently split from fashion designer Tory Burch and broke off his engagement with Sheryl Crow in 2006. “Next week, he’ll be on to someone else,” another insider says.

The unlikely couple – with 15 years between them – enjoyed an intimate evening at the Gramercy Park Hotel bar in New York on Monday night (Oct 29th), according to reports. A source tells New York gossip column PageSix.com, “They came together with a group of friends. Ashley drank red wine, sat on his lap and they were making out all night. They left together around 2am.”

Forbes magazine has released its annual list of the top 100 most powerful celebrities, but not every boldface name made the cut.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie fell off the 2007 list, thanks to waning interest in their reality series The Simple Life.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who had been steadily climbing the ranks from 2002 to 2006, were also left off the list.

“They no longer have the tween fashion cachet,” Forbes’ associate editor Lea Goldman tells USA Today.

She added: “The stock is down on their brand.”

Oprah Winfrey, who consistently cracks the top 10 with earnings of $260 million a year, is in first place this year.

While compiling the list, Forbes considers income, while also taking into account factors such as media interest and the number of friends on stars’ MySpace pages.

Lindsay Lohan was on the list for two years, but dropped off in 2006. Britney Spears, who was ranked No. 1 in 2002, bowed out the following year and hasn’t been back since.

Blockbuster actors cleaned up this year, with Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, who earned $92 million last year, coming in at No. 6. and The Da Vinci Code’s Tom Hanks leap-frogging from No. 31 to No. 11.

Brad Pitt finally made it into the top 10 for the first time with a No. 5 ranking.

Meanwhile, child stars are fast on the heels of their adult contemporaries. Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe (No. 79) and Emma Watson (No. 97) join the list for the first time, along with Dakota Fanning (No. 94).

“We’re seeing young kids bringing in adult salaries,” Goldman says.
