Far from singing the blues over her recent romance troubles – Anne Hathaway is instead belting out karaoke songs.

Hathaway, 25, took turns behind the microphone at a karaoke session in Cape May, N.J. on Monday night. The Get Smart actress hit the Martini Beach restaurant on the Jersey shore with friends and family – feeling the need to sing Journey.

“She was the life and soul of the party,” said karaoke host Terry O’Brien.

Hathaway split with embattled Italian businessman Raffaello Folleri. But it was all smiles on Monday as the actress was one of the first singers of the evening crooning Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’”

Hathaway danced around the tables during other songs before retaking the microphone for K.T. Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See” (a song featured in her movie The Devil Wears Prada.

“Don’t put this on YouTube,” she told O’Brien.

Steve Carell’s hilarious new film Get Smart has been given the porn treatment.

Just a month after the film hit cinemas in America, Hustler Video has wrapped on sex parody Get Smartass.

In the new DVD, Agent Maxwell Smartass and his sidekick Agent 69 fight a team of crack seductresses from the evil organisation P.E.N.I.S.

Director Stuart Canterbury says, “We always like to work on something comedic, and this show was such an obvious target for parody. We were able to build sets which matched the look of the original (TV series), and the girls could really get into the parts as evil seductresses. It is full of hot sex, but it keeps you laughing; we laughed when we made it.”

The film features top porn stars Kayla Paige, Britney Amber, Eden Adams, Envi, Veronica Jett and Veronica Rayne.

Steve Carell came to the rescue of his Get Smart co-star Anne Hathaway on the red carpet on Monday, by helping her dodge a reporter’s question about her break-up with Raffaelo Follieri.

The pair was at the Los Angeles premiere of their spy-themed film when one journalist took the opportunity to question the actress on her highly-publicised split from the Italian businessman, who is currently in jail following his arrest on suspicion of fraud.

But, before Hathaway could answer, Carell lunged in and answered: “In my role of agent (for) Miss Hathaway, I would like to say that she does not answer questions relating to this subject.”

Hathaway ended her longterm relationship with Follieri last month, just days before he was taken into police custody.

The 29-year-old is currently behind bars until he can post $21 million bail. A status hearing has been set for July 9th.

She says, “The most Hollywood thing about me is that I have a psychic masseuse. When I was in Los Angeles for the Oscars, I was telling her that I’m really struggling for hope right now. I felt like the walls of the world were closing in a little bit. And she said that love is the only action. Everything else is reaction.”

Anne Hathaway allegedly split from lover Raffaelo Follieri after her parents urged her to dump him.

The Devil Wears Prada star reportedly separated from the Italian businessman earlier this month, shortly before he was arrested on suspicion of fraud.

According to the New York Daily News, it was Hathaway’s father, Gerard, who advised her to call it off with Follieri and move out of the couple’s Olympic Towers apartment in the Big Apple.

A source tells the newspaper, “Her father’s not stupid. He and Anne’s mother always had their suspicions about Raffaello.”

Follieri has since been charged with a dozen counts of federal wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering, amid reports it was Hathaway herself who outed him to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Another insider adds: “She left the country right before the feds arrested him. But she may have had some regrets about helping them. The night before his arrest, she had a tearful phone conversation with him.”
