Newly engaged actress, Anna Paquin, gladley shows off her engagement ring while taking her dogs for a walk. Anna recently got engaged to her “True Blood” costar Stephen Moyer, who happens to be her love interest on the television show.

Any True Blood Fans out there?  I’ve tried to watch it – but it’s a bit intense for me. I prefer my vampires to be a little more PG-13 like Edward Cullen.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer — who are romantically linked on the HBO vampire series — are a couple off screen as well.

“We are together,” Moyer confirms to TV Guide Magazine.

Moyer plays a 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton opposite Paquin, who portrays telepathic watiress Sookie Stackhouse. Their real-life romance first sparked at a True Blood audition, but they both decided to wait to go public.

“The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” Moyer says. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show. The show is the star, not the two people having a relationship.”

Moyer — who has two young children from a previous relationship — divides his time between the home he shares with Paquin in L.A. and his native London.

“It’s just exciting, and that was there from day one,” Moyer says. “We always take the piss out of each other and are silly with each other, and it is great. We’re very, very happy.

English actor Stephen Moyer will join Anna Paquin in “True Blood,” an HBO drama pilot based on the “Southern Vampire” book series.

“Six Feet Under” creator Alan Ball wrote the project, and will direct and executive produce.

“True Blood” takes place in a world where vampires can buy Japanese-made synthetic blood. Their integration into a small Louisiana town causes quite a stir, and a love story ensues between Bull Comton (Moyer), a vampire, and Sookie Stackhouse (Paquin), an innocent waitress who can read people’s minds.

Brook Kerr (”Passions”) will play a beautiful, smart, articulate young woman who takes a job in the bar with Sookie.
