Anna Kournikova ended up with cuts on her neck after getting into a shoving match this past weekend in Las Vegas

The former tennis ace got into a scuffle inside Lavo Nightclub on Saturday night after another woman at the club threw a drink on her, PEOPLE has learned.

An onlooker said Kournikova, 28, and her assistant were sitting at a VIP table when the other woman bumped them. They pushed each other but were separated – until the woman confronted Kournikova again as she was leaving the nightclub.

“The woman came back over and threw a drink on Anna and her assistant,” the source said. “The woman was definitely drunk.”

“Anna said she wanted the woman kicked out, but then everything started to escalate and she and the woman started shoving and pushing each other,” the source said.

The other woman grabbed Kournikova by the neck and pushed her into a wall before security broke them apart.

“Anna looked really shaken up,” the source said. Kournikova was checked out at The Venetian hotel but didn’t require further treatment, said an onlooker.

Kournikova’s rep was unavailable to comment.

Singer Enrique Iglesias has said that he was secretly married to tennis star Anna Kournikova.

According to the Daily Star, the 33-year-old singer said: “Oh I’m not married, no. I mean I was married. I was married, seriously.

“I was married a year ago to Anna and I don’t know what happened.

“We’re not married anymore but we are kind of still in contact.”

Tennis star Anna Kournikova raced to the finish line during a celebrity relay this weekend, but says Andy Roddick will definitely beat her to the altar.

People caught up with Kournikova at the First Annual Nautica South Beach Triathalon and asked about the recent engagement of swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker to tennis’ Roddick.

“They’re really young, but I hope it works out,” she said. And as for her own prospects with boyfriend Enrique Iglesias? “I’m never getting married,” she said, adding, “Everything is good.”

Meanwhile, Kournikova may have run four miles as part of a women’s relay team and come in first in the women’s celebrity division for St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, but to her it wasn’t “very much.”

“I just did the four-mile run,” she said. “But I just was really doing my normal exercise that I normally do … I exercise about an hour a day.” Her regimen includes 30 minutes of weights and 45 minutes of cardio, she explained. “I love the feeling of sweating. I’ve been exercising my whole life so I really love it.”

Just don’t count on her to stick to a diet either. “I don’t like restricting certain groups or certain types of food. I think everything in moderation is really the best way to go. I try to eat as healthy as I can, which is not always possible,” she said. “You know, I have my Burger King and McDonalds days, too.”
