Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leave La Dolce Vita Restaurant in Beverly Hills after a date night.

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.
“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).
“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source. Ouch!
But don’t expect to see the Salt actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.
“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.
And those political views are putting her at odds with Brad Pitt, 45, who is a big fan of the president and even went solo to the 2008 election party in Chicago.
“They get in nasty arguments all the time about it,” says the source. “She doesn’t respect Brad when it comes to politics, but, in the end, this won’t tear them apart.”

The chemistry was undeniable during Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s sex scene in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. But their on-screen coupling could seem tame compared with Angelina’s steamy turn in the upcoming film The Tourist. Life & Style has obtained a draft of writer Julian Fellowes’ screenplay and can reveal that things get positively scorching between the actress, who is set to play Interpol agent Cara Mason, and her new leading man. So who’s the lucky guy? Ultimate Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp is taking on the role of Frank Taylor, an American tourist whom Angie’s character uses to get what she wants, according to Variety.
“The outline of her naked body is visible in the shower,” the script teases, describing one provocative dream sequence. “Frank walks to the shower and opens the glass door. Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardor, wrapping her dripping legs around his back.” And things are just as juicy as the story rolls on: “Cara turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his,” the script continues. “He’s taken by surprise but willingly responds to her advance, wrapping his arms around her back. They exchange a long, passionate kiss.”
The flick, slated for a 2011 release, will clearly have viewers getting hot and bothered. “Angelina and Johnny are both dynamic actors with magnetic screen presence,” LA producer Mark Kaplan tells Life & Style. “Audiences are fascinated by them and can’t take their eyes off them. Angie is striking, sensual and one of the best actors of our generation. The same goes for Johnny.”

Add jewelry design to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s resume.
The two have completed a limited edition collection of gold jewelry and silver accessories called The Protector — which is inspired by the snake (see photo left) — for high-end jeweler Asprey.
Women’s Wear Daily reports that Pitt, 45, and Jolie, 34, have been working on the project for more than a year and that their pieces will go on sale at Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai this week.
Prices start at $525 for a silver baby spoon with a curving, serpent-shaped handle. Other items in the collection: Silver baby gifts such as the spoon, an eggcup, tooth box and picture frame, as well as pendants and rings made from gold and micropavé diamonds, all featuring curving snakes.
Why the snake theme? According to WWD, Jolie was given a ring (not from Asprey) in the shape of a snake while pregnant with Shiloh and considers the reptile a protector of her family.
Proceeds go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which Jolie co-founded in 2006. The organization raises awareness and funds to educate child victims of war, conflict and natural disasters.
Jolie declined to talk about their collection, but said in a statement: “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place — to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”
It isn’t Pitt’s first time designing.
In 1996, after getting engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow, he gave her a simple diamond ring that he designed with the help of Italian jeweler Damiani. After wedding Jennifer Aniston in 2000, he collaborated with Damiani to design the wedding bands.

After a seven-year rift, Jon Voight tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now) that he and Angelina Jolie have reconciled.
“We’re in touch, but not regularly,” Voight, 70, confirms to Us Weekly. “We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”
Jolie, 34, stopped speaking to him in 2001 after a teary Voight appeared on Access Hollywood and pleaded for her to seek help for her “serious mental problems.”
But in February, “they met face-to-face” and have been talking ever since, a family friend tells the new Us Weekly.
“Angie made the initial contact,” says the pal. “Brad [Pitt] has been supportive – a key factor in her reaching out.”

Johnny Depp is eyeing the chance to go traveling with Angelina Jolie – he is in talks to step into Tom Cruise’s shoes in The Tourist.
Jolie stepped up to replace Charlize Theron in the remake of 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer after the South African beauty was forced to drop out.
Cruise was also slated to star, but pulled out of his part to team up with Vanilla Sky co-star Cameron Diaz in a new movie.
Aussie actor Sam Worthington was reported to have accepted the role, but has since dropped out – and Depp has now been lined up for the lead part, according to Variety.
The film tells the tale of a female agent on the hunt for an elusive ex-boyfriend, who becomes a wanted man.

We’ve been waiting for this onscreen pairing for eons: The coolest actor in Hollywood opposite the most beautiful and enigmatic — yes, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie will be co-starring in a remake of The Tourist.
Johnny, 46, is in talks to replace Terminator Salvation hunk Sam Worthington, who has pulled out of the male lead role opposite Angelina.
The mom-of-six signed on to replace Charlize Theron who was originally attached to the project.
The movie, which is a remake of a 2005 French spy thriller called Anthony Zimmer, involves a female Interpol agent who uses an American tourist visiting France as bait for a wanted criminal who also happens to be her former lover.
What is it with Angelina, 33, and these international espionage roles? The trailer for her movie Salt was released this week and features all the usual Angie elements: guns, high-speed chases and running from sinister spymasters.
