Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt regularly fight over politics, because they are both so passionate about their beliefs. But the actress insists she doesn’t mind their frequent verbal tussles – it’s what attracted her to Pitt in the first place.
She says, “Brad is political and one of the reasons we came together is that he is very aware. Perhaps he is more outspoken than me, and I like that. It is the only time we argue.”
And Jolie reveals that, contrary to her caring and charitable reputation, Pitt is the liberal of the household: “A lot of time is spent arguing over things like justice. I am in favor of a harder line than he is.”

Maybe it was all the talk about children, but while Angelina Jolie was discussing Iraq education policy Tuesday in Washington D.C., she “felt kicking suddenly,” she tells PEOPLE.
And though it was “in the middle of the event,” the expectant mother of four didn’t miss a beat as she talked about her two visits to Iraq and her new initiative, Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
Jolie, 32, says EPCC will be “a center that helps raise awareness and coordinate all the various efforts of people working towards education for children of conflict.”
Even after an exhausting couple days in the nation’s capital, Jolie, who brought sons Maddox, 6, and Pax, 4, with her, shows no signs of slowing down. She’ll continue her work in D.C. all week before re-joining Brad Pitt and their daughters Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 1.
Most of all, Jolie says, she’s savoring this period – unexpected kicks and all – adding, “It is a very special time in our lives.”

Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven is following in his campaigning sister’s footsteps, by traveling to Washington D.C. to join the fight against AIDS and Malaria in Africa.
Haven will meet senators Dick Lugar and Barbara Boxer in the capital on Tuesday to discuss the U.S. Government’s commitment to the developing world. While his sibling is a headline-grabbing United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Haven, 34, isn’t a stranger to charity – he is on the advisory board for the organization Global Action for Children, and is a youth pastor at an evangelical church in Southern California, reports the Washington Post.
Jolie, 32 is currently in the capital herself, attending events and meeting with government bodies to continue her own work in the developing world.

The minister who was rumored to be marrying Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the weekend has opened his arms and his church to the couple, inviting them to exchange vows before him.
Reverend Tony Talavera, who owns the French Quarter Wedding Chapel in New Orleans, Louisiana, where Pitt and Jolie have a home, was inundated with media questions and requests when he was linked to the wedding that never was. But, far from getting annoyed with the fuss, the minister is keen to oversee the Pitt-Jolie wedding for real.
He tells Life + Style magazine, “I have not met them, but we extend the invitation. We’re glad they’re neighbors.” But sources suggest the couple will wed overseas this summer. One insider tells the publication that France remains a favorite wedding site – because that’s where Jolie’s late mother Marcheline Bertrand was born.
The source says, “They’re planning to go there (France) on May 20th.” And it’s reported that pregnant Jolie will give birth to the couple’s new baby in a remote French farmhouse.
The insider adds, “They’ve been looking at chateaus where they’ll stay until Angie gives birth. It’s really important for her to have the baby in France because her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was of French descent. It would be a wonderful tribute to Angelina’s mom.”

Early Saturday evening, a gossip bomb of epic proportions was dropped on all of us, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were said to be getting married in New Orleans. You know how gossip flies on the internet, within minutes some websites had the name of the church where the ceremony was supposedly being held. And it would have been a great story, if there was any truth to it.
So how did the rumor get started? OK! did some digging and uncovered what looks to be the unwitting source of the story.
First, OK! confirmed with sources at Louis Armstrong International Airport that Brad and Angie hadn’t been spied coming or going from the Big Easy since leaving New Orleans almost two weeks ago in a private jet, following an event featuring Brad and Bill Clinton on March 17. So if they did get married this weekend, it wasn’t in the French Quarter.
OK! then spoke to the proprietors of The French Quarter Wedding Chapel, which Star magazine had named as the location of the ceremony (only to back track on this a day later). They of course denied having performed the ceremony and claimed to have never even met the couple. They did, however, tell OK! they’d heard yet another rumor going around that Brangelina had said their “I do’s” at St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square, the same spot where local boy Harry Connick Jr. once got married.
And it was at St. Louis Cathedral that OK! discovered what might have been the original inspiration for the rumors. Various merchants and locals around Jackson Square told OK! that there had been a lavish wedding at the church, with thousands spent on flowers and decorations.
The word around this part of town was that this wedding was costing in the $500,000 range — just the amount of money one would expect celebs of Brad and Angelina’s prominence and wealth to spend.
Additionally, an employee at Muriel’s restaurant, directly across the street from the cathedral told OK! she’d seen police barricades outside the church and that the caravan of cars leaving the ceremony received a police escort. Again, just what one would expect from the wedding of two of Hollywood’s biggest names.
So when one looks at it from the eye of an over-eager celeb reporter — huge wedding, police involvement, famous New Orleans couple — you can almost (repeat: almost) understand how a story like this becomes a rampant rumor.
Alas, all this to-do was merely for the wedding of a prominent, and presumably wealthy, New Orleans family. Explains one merchant, Larry, who saw the bride and groom: “They definitely weren’t famous.”
Oh well… it was a good rumor while it lasted.
