“Brad seems worried sick about Angie, and he doesn’t know what else he can do,” a friend of the couple tells Star. “At this point, I think getting professional help might be the wisest way to go. He didn’t want it to come to this, but gong to a rehab center for eating disorders may be the best thing for Angelina.”
Insiders say that Angie is taking steps to help her gain weight, but they don’t seem to be working. “She also has a history with depression, and things got a lot worse after the death of her mother,” says a source.
Angie has cited her mother, Marcheline Bertrand’s death from cancer in January as a contributing factor to her health problems. “This year I lost my mom, and I’ve gone through a lot,” says the actress, admitting, “It’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track.”
Angelina’s brother, James Haven, has also noted the toll the loss has taken on his sister. “Angie’s become very thin because she is grieving.” James has said. “She has not wanted to eat, nor has she been able to!”

Angelina doesn’t have those curves! The girl is ano these days. The CGI Angelina looks healthier than the live Angelina. Someone needs to give Angie a corn dog or something.
Hollywood stunner Angelina Jolie has bared all in her new role as a seductive water demon in the big-screen adaptation of epic Old English poem Beowulf.
The 32-year-old actress, who plays the mother of evil giant Grendel, appears in the £80 million animated film wearing just a long braid, covered in gold paint and with hooves instead of feet.
In one scene, a digitally enhanced Jolie rises from a pool with droplets of water dripping down her every curve and morphs into a monster.

Angelina Jolie has been transformed into the mother of Grendel the monster, the father of all evil from Anglo-Saxon mythology, for the adult fantasy film Beowulf
The actress stars alongside British actors Ray Winston, who plays her evil son, and Sir Anthony Hopkins who plays King Hrothgar.
Winstone has also been given a virtual Hollywood makeover, losing his beer belly, to remake his portly British frame into that of a comic book superhero with the help of skilled digital imaging. Described as “‘Lord of the Rings’ meets ‘300′, the long-awaited adaption of the the oldest story in the English language, “Beowulf” is described by the Los Angeles times as a “hyper violent and highly sexualized tale”.
The warrior Beowulf (Ray Winstone) must slay the monster Grendel (Crispin Glover). Later, Grendel’s mother (Jolie) seduces Beowulf so that she can produce a replacement heir that will allow her to re-establish her dominion over the kingdom.
Winstone has become a fixture in Hollywood since his breakthrough role in Gary Oldman’s Nil By Mouth. And is currently filming the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series with Harrison Ford.
Die-hard fans of the comic book genre will get a sneak peak at the 3-D digital version of the film at a comic convention, Comic-Con, in San Diego tonight.

Like I said earlier, I’m not a fan of violent movies…but I am having a movie night next Friday – and we’re watching 300. Haven’t seen it yet, and I’m kind of excited to see it. Did you see it? (Okay, I’m probably the only one who didn’t) Did you like it?

Bad Box office numbers can be a real bummer. According to a source close to Angelina Jolie, 32, the actress is “devastated” by the audience rejection of her movie A Mighty Heart (it has earned just $9 million).
“She poured her heart into the story and can’t believe people don’t understand how important it is,” the insider tells Us Weekly in this week’s issue.
Helping to lighten her mood: a vacation in France with Brad Pitt, 43, and their four kids.
The whole clan is staying at a $13,818-a-week rental manor in Marthon, which boasts a swimming pool and private theater.
(Family friend Mariane Pearl, whom Jolie played in the film, was seen joining them.)
Says an insider, “Brad and Angelina wanted to get away from everything, and France is a great place to do that.”

Angelina Jolie has disappointed the Czech senate by canceling a meeting in the country’s capital at the last minute. The actress, who has just finished filming a new movie in Prague, and her partner Brad Pitt planned to meet the group of lawmakers earlier this week to discuss their careers and charity work.
However, an unexpected change in her busy schedule forced the couple to abandon the date – much to the disappointment of the Czech statesmen.
Senator Nadvornik says, “My colleagues are very sad about the lost opportunity, they were looking forward to it so much. We intended to hold the event in the beautiful Wallenstein Palace and meant to chat about theatre, film and also charity, for we are aware of Ms. Jolie’s involvement in the subject.”
Pitt has reportedly made amends for the missed appointment by inviting Nadvornik to Jolie’s wrap party later this week.

Fran Drescher is receiving some unexpected support for her new cancer charity- from Angelina Jolie, who lost her own mother to the disease in January. The former “Nanny” star revealed to The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview that she and Angelina bonded as 56-year-old Marcheline Bertrand, Angelina’s mom, battled ovarian cancer.
Speaking at the launch of her “Cancer Schmancer Movement” on June 20 in New York City- and celebrating seven years of wellness after her own fight against uterine cancer- 49-year-old Fran said that Angelina had been a big crusader for the fledging organization.
“Her mother had the same oncologist as me at one point and Brad Pitt has the same publicist, so we’re very interconnected,” said Fran. “Ever since her mom died, she has been a great supporter of the foundation. She really reached out, which is wonderful.” The organization shares its name with the book Fran penned about her battle with the disease, in which she revealed she had visited eight doctors in two years before she was given a proper diagnosis for her symptoms.
Good luck to both women, this seems like an excellent team!

Star Magazine loves to report on some of the funniest things. I don’t know how Brad could possibly get Shiloh away from Angelina, take her to a secret meeting with Jennifer Aniston, and Angelina simply not know where her daugher was for the afternoon or even a day. And most of the time the Jolie-Pitt clan aren’t even in the country. What’s Brad going to do? “Hey honey, me and Shi are going to LA for a week or so, see ya!” NO! But anyway, I find these things entertaining!
“‘Brad wants to tell Jen that he cares for her and always will,’ says a close source. ‘And he’d like to hear her say that she forgives him.’ A source reveals to Star that Angelina is going to be furious about this meeting. ‘Angie would rather Brad leave things where they are. She doesn’t’ give a hoot about Jen or her feelings. But Brad does what Brad wants.’”
If I were Angie I don’t think I’d give a “hoot” about Jen either, nor do I understand why Brad would want to introduce his ex-wife to his child he basically concieved as the divorce papers were being signed! But this is Star Magazine, folks!
“When they broke up after their four-year marriage, Jen was reportedly heartbroken. But now, Brad’s reaching out because he wants to clear the air and he wants her to meet his daughter,” reveals a close source to Brad. It was the June 17th get-together with Brad’s mom that may have opened the door, the insider adds. ‘He’s tried before to meet with Jen, but she’s said no. This time, she asked his mom, Jane, to come with her and Jane said she would. Jane loves Jen like a daughter and thinks this will be healing for both of them.’ Jen’s change of heart comes after a determined effort by Brad – but her new romance with British model Paul Sculfor, may also be what made her relent. ‘Brad has been trying to meet with Jennifer for months,’ says the source. ‘He’s made several attempts since Shiloh’s birth, but she hasn’t responded until now. I think she’s over him and moved on.’”
