Like mother, like son!

Angelina Jolie says she is passing down her knife obsession to her seven-year-old son Maddox.

“My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12,” Jolie says in the new issue of W magazine. “And I’ve already bought Maddox some.”

The actress has long been obsessed with knives.

In a 2003 interview with 20/20, she admitted that, as a teen, she once had a relationship that involved ritual self-mutilation.

“I got knives out and had a night where we attacked each other… it felt so primitive and it felt so honest… and then I had to deal with, you know, not telling my mother, hiding things, wearing gauze bandages to high school,” she said.

She said she no longer engages in such activities now that she’s a mother.

W Magazine has released some more private pictures of Angelina Jolie taken by Brad Pitt.   Brad Pitt was commisioned by W Magazine to take some intimate pictures of their life together, and here are a few.

Angelina Jolie says she had only intended to adopt children – until her love for Brad Pitt changed her mind.

“I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do,” Jolie, 33, tells W magazine, in an article featuring photos taken by Pitt of her breastfeeding.

But when she saw Pitt, 44, with adopted children Maddox and Zahara, “I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace,” Jolie says.

“I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to (getting pregnant),” she says. “I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain.”

Now, after having three children with Pitt, including 3-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne and 2-year-old Shiloh, “I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world,” says Jolie. “It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn’t otherwise be here.”

In the intimate W magazine pictures taken by Pitt just weeks after the twins’ birth, Jolie bares her body – quite comfortably, she says.

“I’m with a man who’s evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created,” she says. “He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier.”

Jolie says she has “a lot of respect” for Pitt, who helps her “to be better and fight hard for the things that I love.”

“I do think that I’m in a good partnership now,” she says. “I think it just needed to be the right man.”

Angelina Jolie has famously lived her life as an open book – and now in a revealing new portrait taken by partner Brad Pitt, she shares an astonishingly private moment with the public.

The Hollywood star sits with brunette locks tumbling over her shoulders, with the top of her blouse pulled down to expose her breast – which is somewhat covered by the tiny fingers which just reveal the presence of one of her suckling twins.

It’s true! Sources who’ve seen the photos confirm exclusively to Life & Style that Angelina Jolie really did pose for the cover story of W magazine while breast-feeding! “Angelina posed for Brad [Pitt] in one of the photos while breast-feeding,” the source reveals to Life & Style. “It’s really beautiful and tastefully done.”

“The photos are amazing,” adds a second source. Brad shot the photos in mid-August at Chateau Miraval, the family’s home in the South of France. They’re scheduled to appear in W’s November issue, hitting newsstands on Oct. 21.

After giving birth to twins on July 12, Angelina Jolie dropped out of sight so completely, reports swirled that she was depressed, fighting with Brad Pitt and struggling to lose her baby weight. When she finally stepped out on the red carpet at the NYC premiere of her movie Changeling on Oct. 4 — slim and radiant in a black Versace sheath — she promptly put all those rumors to rest. In fact, Angelina took some time to speak to Life & Style about life with six kids and how she got her body back.

Asked about her amazing slim-down, she joked that “good clothes” were the secret. Of course, a dress can only do so much. “I spend a lot of time running after the kids,” Angie told Life & Style. “That certainly helps. And I’m breast-feeding, which also helps. I have an exercise routine, but I mostly just run around after the kids!”

And although raising 3-month-old Vivienne and Knox may be a challenge, Angie, 33, and Brad, 44, have help — from their four older kids. “The twins are wonderful,” Angelina tells Life & Style. “They have a really special bond. The other kids are really fascinated by them — I think they feel older now that there are new babies around. They try to help, but they’re all still quite young, so they can only do so much.” Still, it’s cute watching them try. “The other kids fawn over the twins,” Brad tells Life & Style. “It’s great.”

And while life is certainly chaotic right now, it’s not overwhelming them. Angelina and Brad offered a peek at how they manage to balance their careers and children while still finding room for romance. “When you have your priorities set, you just make the time,” Angie tells Life & Style. Finding alone time when they’re at home can be more of a challenge. “Even if we lock our door, the children come knocking,” Angelina has said. “We often try to have a bath together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in.” They’re not complaining, though, or stopping. “We’re going to have more kids,” Angie has also said, “one way or another.”
