Angelina Jolie looks gorgeous in red-hot gown at ‘Tree of Life’ premiere!

The last couple dresses that Angelina Jolie has worn at Cannes I have not been a huge fan of. But this gown I love! It’s simple, and fits her body beautifully!

Angelina didn’t make the Tuesday premiere of her new movie ‘Kung Fu Panda 2′ in NYC, where Jack Black and Lucy Liu had to walk the red carpet without her.

Why did she miss the premiere? The 35-year-old actress opted instead to support her partner, Brad Pitt, in Los Angeles.

Smooth-faced and dapper in a Tom Ford suit, Pitt, 47, hit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for the premiere of his film The Tree of Life, which just won the top prize at the Cannes Film Fest.

Jolie was at Pitt’s side in a jaw-dropping new look: a diaphonous, bright red one-shoulder gown by Jenny Packham, accented with Tiffany jewelry and Stuart Weitzman heels.

The duo caused such pandemonium upon their arrival that Pitt’s costar, Jessica Chastain, halted her interviews because of the overcrowded red carpet.

Will Pitt and Jolie’s six kids become actors like their world-famous parents?

“Listen, I just want them to do whatever they want,” Pitt told reporters. “To follow their bliss, whatever makes them happy!”

Angelina Jolie reveals a personal “weakness”

The butt-kicking beauty Angelina Jolie is known to be the tough chick on the silver screen.

But the movie star admitted to the public that she has another side… and side with a personal “weakness.”

Jolie says she’s very much like her kickass Kung Fu Panda character, Tigress—both the good and the bad. “I think I have her weakness, too,” she told reporters at yesterday’s Hollywood premiere of the animated blockbuster’s new sequel (in theaters on Thursday).

“She’s really tough but she doesn’t really sometimes know how to be soft,” she said. “It’s taken me a little while in my life, and my kids have certainly helped with that—to get me a little softer because I have a bit of a hard shell sometimes.”

Will Jolie be playing Tigress again in the future? She gives E! the scoop:

“I would love to do more,” she told us. “They are so much fun. You come to work in your pajamas, you bring your kids…There’s just no easier job in the world.”

Plus, the flicks hit close to home. “There is a message about what family is and how family is made [in the movies] and I think today, more than ever, we really can understand that family comes in all different ways,” she said. “Sometimes two mothers, two fathers, single parents, some are adopted, different races. So family is where the love is and family is where you find loyalty and friendship.”

Love it when the A-listers encourage families to come together and see family flicks!

And, yes, Angelina… working in pajamas is definitely fun! ;)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looking for a movie to do together again!

Brad Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie are looking to star in a new movie together, because as Brad says, “why aren’t we doing everything together?” The couple met on the set of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ and their incredible chemistry was evident onscreen. Trouble was, Brad was married at the time to Jennifer Aniston. Not long after the movie was released, Brad and Jen divorced, and Brad started his family with Angelina.

In an interview with NPR, Brad talked about working with Angelina again. He also opened up on why he had so many kids, so quickly, and how BBQ’ing is his speciality.

Brad Pitt on why he had so many children – so quickly:

“I know it seems extreme from the outside, but I’ve always kind of operated this way. When I know, I know, and why mess around?” Pitt, 47, said in an interview.

“I had a friend who had a big family when I was a kid. I just loved the chaos around the breakfast table and the fighting and the ribbing, and the mom making pancakes for everyone or the dad making pancakes. And I just decided then if I was ever going to do it — this left some indelible mark on me — if I was ever going to do it, that’s the way I was going to do it.”

He also opended up about wanting to do another movie with his partner, Angelina Jolie:

“We’re not ones to repeat ourselves, but we’d like to, because right now, we’re hopscotching with films so one can be with the kids and one’s free to work,” Pitt said. “And why aren’t we doing them together? Why aren’t we doing everything together?”

Brad considers himself a family man, above everything else:

“I think my focus before was more irreverence, by nature,” Pitt said. “I’m a dad now. It’s more important to me that if I’m going to do the film, there’s something I can bring to it, it’s not generic. And most of all, I’m painfully aware that my kids are going to see these when they’re older, and I want them to understand something about their dad, and I want them to be proud of their dad.”

And maybe remember some chaos around the breakfast table, said Pitt, who cooks pancakes for his kids.

“Breakfast is pretty much my specialty,” Pitt said. “And barbecue.”

PHOTOS: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (in Versace) at ‘Tree of Life’ premiere!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hit the red carpet in Cannes this afternoon for the premiere of his new movie ‘Tree of Life’! What the heck is Angelina Jolie wearing!? The gown, by Versace, doesn’t do her any favors, in my opinion. It sorta looks like a bridesmaids dress!

Also at the premiere are Sean Penn, Jude Law and Jessica Chastain.

Angelina Jolie opens up about bringing the kids to Cannes and finding “inner peace”

Angelina Jolie is at the Cannes Film Festival to promote her new movie, ‘Kung Fu Panda 2′. She’ll also stick around in beautiful Cannes to walk the red carpet with Brad Pitt when his movie, ‘Tree of Life’ premieres on Monday (can’t wait for those pictures!).

On her kids and the themes of adoption in Kung Fu Panda 2:

“I brought my kids to see the movie and they loved it, they laughed through the whole thing. I wondered whether they would ask me questions about it, but because adoption and birth mothers and orphanage — these are happy words. They’re very used to these discussions and they just felt that much more proud that they’re a little more like Po. So it was lovely.”

On violence in KFP2 and showing her kids violent films:

“You have to know your children. There are children that have a better understanding and are ready earlier than others. But for a film like this, I don’t see this as a film that’s too violent. I think this is actually quite the opposite because the strength, even in the final battle, the inner peace and sending back that negative energy is what wins. My boys are in martial arts classes. Boys are boys and they have a certain kind of energy, naturally. It’s been wonderful to get them focused on martial arts to teach them about the discipline and the respect and the control of their own bodies. I think to ignore that that’s a part of humanity, especially little boys, is wrong. So it’s to help guide them — what’s a positive thing, what’s a good guy, To try not to [use violence] certainly, but if you have to, to defend yourself.”

On bringing the kids to Cannes:

“Yes, we’re all in France. Our whole family is in France and we’re very happy. They’re running around the hotel right now, playing games, and making a giant mess, I’m sure. They’re having a great time. They love it here. Cannes can be overwhelming, and it can be that you meet a lot of friendly faces and have a good laugh and you also get a chance to see some great films. It’s very nice.”

On picking KFP2 to appeal more to her kids:

“We’re all big kids at heart . . . but in many ways I did it for them, and I was excited for them to see it. The trick of a sequel is you have to make it better than the first one, which is hard to do especially when the first one is so successful, and I think we pulled it off.”

On finding inner peace:

“Especially for people that have children. You wake up and if they’re healthy, you know that that’s the most important thing, so you have first of all that peace. They also come with a lot of chaos, but we’re all searching for it. It’s part of the human journey. We all have moments of inner peace and we lose it and we look for it again. But really it’s in knowing the people you love are safe and healthy. That’s the best.”

On her real-life alter ego to all her tough characters:

“Certainly my alter ego is who I am 100 percent, which is a mommy who is changing diapers and coloring all night long. I’m sure I’m very, very soft. I’ve always been drawn to strong characters and I admire strong women, emotionally and physically, just people I feel are fighting for something . . . have a sense of justice and injustice. I’ve been very lucky that I came to my career at a time that women are being allowed these roles and have such great opportunities for these types of characters.”
