Amy Winehouse appeared wild-eyed and dishevelled in court yesterday when she came to support her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The singer only arrived for the last 10 minutes of the hour-long preliminary hearing when her husband appeared on charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Any rift between the troubled star and her mother-in-law Georgette seemed to have been put aside as the pair sat together whispering and holding hands in the public gallery.

She wore a grubby knee-length cream denim skirt and crumpled Fred Perry polo shirt with dishevelled blonde hair.

On arrival she winked and blew a kiss at former music video assistant Fielder-Civil who stood in the dock with four other men on associated charges.

As her husband was led back into custody she interrupted court proceedings to shout: ‘Love you handsome. Gorgeous one.’

She then rounded on reporters sitting in court and yelled: ‘I wasn’t talking to you.’

She and her mother-in-law left court arm in arm and kissed goodbye as Winehouse stepped into a silver BMW. Fielder-Civil is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and with conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

While we have been enjoying front row seats to the Britney Spears train wreck here in Los Angeles, our British friends have been had the chance to watch Amy Winehouse self-destruct first hand. Last night, after visiting her jail bird husband Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy went crazy, screaming and punching photographers outside a candy shop. Police were called and had to escort her to her car before she did any more harm.

Kelly Osbourne is defending Amy Winehouse asking people to give her a little bit of respect and a break. She says that she wants Amy to be allowed to deal with her problems on her own.

“Amy is a very close friend of mine,” Kelly said. “I will always be there for her but you can’t protect people from themselves. Amy is not stupid, she is very smart, but this is something she has to do by herself.”

Kelly Osbourne also hit out at fame-hungry celebrities by saying that she thinks for a lot of famous people, press attention is an addiction. She clearly was referring to Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton, saying that they are all competing for attention.

Amy Winehouse had her chauffeur take her to Kentish Town to pick up some late night snacks and then headed to a pub in Camden. Then at 2am, she headed over to Bungalow8 nightclub to party with Mark Ronson until 4am. She stopped on the way back to her hotel to get some bananas.

Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has allegedly tested positive for drugs while in prison.

Now she will only be able to see him from behind a glass screen instead of the “no strings” visits previously allowed.

Fielder-Civil, 25, is being held in Pentonville as he awaits trial for assault and trial-fixing allegations.

He tested positive for a Class A substance, thought to be heroin.

Winehouse, 24, has not been to see him since the random test last week.

On December 18, Winehouse herself was arrested in relation to Fielder-Civil’s case.

It is understood that Winehouse was questioned over accusations that she was aware of a plan to derail the GBH case against her Fielder-Civil.

She has been bailed until March, when she is expected to return to an east London police station.

Fielder-Civil and Michael Brown are accused of assaulting James King, the landlord of Macbeths pub in Hoxton, east London, on June 20 last year.

It is alleged that they later conspired to pervert the course of justice by offering Mr King a significant amount of money – reported to be £200,000 plus £10,000 costs – to withdraw his allegation and flee to Spain until the case collapsed.

Two other men also facing the same charge are Anthony Kelly, 25, from Chalk Farm, north west London, and James King, 36, from Risley, Derbyshire.
