After the shocking video of Amy Winehouse smoking crack with a glass pipe emerged, the singer was reportedly left in tears.

Amy’s friends are now rallying around the singer for fear that they might lose their friend. She fooled the press Tuesday when she showed up at her doctor’s office, fooling people into believing that she was actually checking herself into rehab.

Instead, she was showing up for a regularly scheduled doctor’s appointment.

A close friend of the singer says, “Things have clearly gotten really bad. I have spoken to Amy and she is aware of everything going on around her. She hasn’t lost it, but she’s been in tears since these pictures came out and is truly ashamed and is trying to put on a brave face.”

Contrary to reports that Amy Winehouse had went into rehab, the opposite is true.

Her rep has said that she is not in rehab and that she was seeing a doctor who she regularly sees as part of her ongoing treatment. It was a regular appointment which she attends all of the time.

Unfortunately, the singer has not checked into rehab at this time.

The rep, who refused to comment on the nature of the treatment, did say in December that Winehouse was “under supervision for both physical and all health issues,” after she was photographed barefoot and wearing only a bra outside her London home. According to the rep, the treatment began when Winehouse canceled her tour in November.

And that’s her father, who released a statement of his own today:

Amy Winehouse has entered rehab, according to British tabloid The Sun.

After The Sun posted video of the singer apparently smoking a crack pipe, she was seen leaving her East London home this afternoon in a blacked-out Mercedes and heading to the Edward House private rehabilitation clinic in North West London.

“I’ve spoken to her already and she’s fine,” her father, Mitch, had told reporters earlier in the day. “She says she’s ok, so no problems.

“All that picture shows is what everybody knew anyway.”

Amy Winehouse took hit after hit of the deadly drug after a 19-minute binge in which she snorted powdered Ecstasy and Cocaine.

Afterwards, she admitted that she took six Valium to bring herself down.

Amy’s spiral of self-destruction was revealed in a harrowing video filmed at her East London home and seen by The Sun. It will horrify relatives and friends who fear she could soon end up dead.

The footage also laid bare the Back To Black singer’s squalid lifestyle as she stumbled around in a grubby vest surrounded by junkies and parasitic hangers-on.

At one point, lank-haired Amy is warned to watch out for smashed glass on the floor as she scours a bedroom for her kitten barefoot.

The dazed and confused star accuses a guest of taking the pet from a quiet room into the drug-fuelled hubbub of her house party.

She mumbles wearily: “If I was that cat I’d leave on my own accord — I’d call a cab. It ain’t right. This ain’t Toys R Us. They took my cat.”

A friend of the waif-like chart-topper said last night:

“Amy is locked in a nosedive towards oblivion — she is killing herself. The video shows a woman completely out of control.”

Her family and her few real friends have begged her to pull herself from the brink many times. But here is proof she has pressed the self-destruct button.

Her fans would scarcely recognize the drug-addled wreck in the video as the talented performer they love.

We can only pray she will get a wake-up call when she watches the video herself and sees the terrible state she is in.

In recent news, it was rumored that Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse had a fling. Mark denied the claim, but at least now we know why they had been spending so much time together.

Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse worked together on Amy’s song, Valerie, but now they are set to do the Brit’s together, as a duet.

Mark is said to have asked Amy to be a part of the Brit’s even though she hadn’t won any awards. Amy had performed Valerie at all of her shows and sources say that she can’t wait to do the duet with Ronson live.

Mark Ronson was nominated for three songs and the show is scheduled for February 20th.

Mark Ronson is hitting out at claims that he had a fling with Amy Winehouse. He said that it was insinuated that they went to a hotel to spend the night together and that they were in the studio, but it was nothing like that. He said that Amy Winehouse played him a few songs on her acoustic guitar, but they weren’t in the studio.

“Apparently, we were inseparable,” he tells Britain’s Daily Record newspaper.

“I laugh it off but it is annoying because I have to do damage control.”
