Amy Winehouse’s tour manager has quit amid claims the troubled star was ruining his health. Thom Stone is alleged to have found traces of heroin in his system, after passively inhaling fumes claimed to be from the singer and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s drug use. Last month Stone presented Winehouse with a doctor’s note outlining that the pressures of managing the singer was harming his health.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “He was constantly bailing her out. He was watching them get off their head on drugs and wondering whether Amy was even going to get up on stage. It was a nightmare job.”

A friend of the couple says, “When he produced this note Blake and Amy thought it was a joke. They didn’t get on with Thom and were taking the p**s when he tried to pull that excuse to leave. They wanted rid of him anyway.”

Winehouse disappointed scores of fans at the opening night of her U.K. tour in Birmingham, England, on Wednesday – many of whom walked out of the ’shambolic’ show or demanded a refund for the poor performance.

Amy Winehouse was forced to have her trademark beehive hairstyle searched for drugs on a visit to her imprisoned husband Blake Fielder-Civil. The Rehab star was granted permission to see Fielder-Civil at London’s Pentonville Prison on Wednesday, prior to the start of her U.K. tour in Birmingham later that evening – a gig which she later dedicated to her incarcerated beau.

Prison officers made Winehouse undo her beehive, before making her run her fingers through it to prove nothing was contained in the over sized hairdo.

Fielder-Civil was jailed last week accused of actuating grievous bodily harm (GBH) and attempting to pervert the course of justice.”

A distraught Amy Winehouse wept hysterically and screamed ‘Baby, I love you’ as husband Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested and led away by police officers over an alleged £200,000 trial-fixing plot.

Amid dramatic scenes Fielder-Civil, 25, was seized by eight plain clothes officers at the flat in Bow. As he was led away, the 24-year-old singer kissed and hugged him, sobbing: “Baby, I love you. Baby, I’ll be fine.”

He was handcuffed by police and led away from an east London flat last night as Winehouse looked on and begged: “I want to go with him.”

He was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with a trial due to start next week.

If convicted, the maximum sentence for the offence is life. Three other men were also arrested in connection with the plot at addresses in east London.

All four were expected to be interviewed by detectives today.

They were arrested only hours after officers had battered down the front door of the singer and her husband’s Camden home.

Police had been tipped off about an alleged plot to stop a trial involving assault charges.

They are probing allegations that £200,000 would have been paid to a key witness to stay away from the case and refuse to give evidence.

There is no suggestion that Winehouse was involved in the alleged plot.

Police are believed to have raided the home she shares with Fielder-Civil to gather evidence and officers spent several hours searching the address.

Her mother-in-law Georgette said Amy was “totally distraught and too upset to talk” about the arrest.

Scotland Yard said four men had been arrested in east London yesterday and were being questioned in connection with an allegation of perverting the course of justice.

The four men, two 25-year-olds, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old, were all being held in north London police stations.

Police said they expect to make further arrests.

A tearful Amy Winehouse cut a lonely figure when she was spotted wandering the streets of Munich, Germany on her own.

The pictures, taken last week, show the Rehab singer looking scared and on the verge of tears, which sources blame on the constant arguments between Amy and husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

According to pals, the 24-year-old star is struggling to cope with the increasingly stormy rows with husband Blake. And they warn his controlling behaviour, and unreasonable demands are threatening the couple’s six-month marriage.

A source told Closer magazine: “They are constantly arguing backstage, and whenever he gets bored he demands they leave, no matter what she’s doing.

“At one of her gigs, Blake even insisted they go back to the hotel half an hour before she was due on stage.”

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse yesterday headed straight for a champagne spa after spending a night in police cells for cannabis possession.

Norwegian police raided her hotel room and found a small amount of marijuana after staff tipped them off about the smell of the drug wafting along the corridor.

She and husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested at 7pm on Thursday in the city of Bergen and released twelve hours later. They were each fined £350. During her spell in custody, Miss Winehouse had to strip naked following routine Norwegian police procedure.

Immediately after her release yesterday morning she checked herself into one of the city’s top spas – and promptly eased her woes by ordering several bottles of champagne, according to reports.

The couple were arrested alongside an unnamed 24-year-old man after being found with 7.1 grams [(0.25oz] of marijuana in their hotel suite at the five star Radisson SAS Hotel in Bergen.

Police were alerted after the hotel’s head of security complained about the scent of cannabis lingering in the corridor leading to the couple’s room.

The trio were held until 7am before being fined and released, prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe confirmed. The unidentified British man was fined £240.

‘We had a tip from a good source which led to police checking up on the tip,’ Mr Lothe added.

‘They were in a hotel room in the centre of Bergen.

‘They signed a ticket – a fine – at the police station. It is a closed case.’ Although no further action will be taken against the 24-year-old platinum-selling star, police sources have revealed the alarming extent of her inebriation.

There are reports that Amy Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, abandoned her at a hospital after her alleged drug overdose in August in order to go and take more heroin.

A friend tells British newspaper The Sun, “He admitted that after her overdose, he left her, out of it in her hospital bed, to go and take more drugs.”

The Rehab singer has been taking time out from her career after her high-profile spell in hospital in an effort to kick her reported drug habit, but I don’t think it will help because of her unsupportive husband. Wow. He’s classy and romantic and lovey. Where can I find one just like him?

The troubled singer looked barely recognisable as she peered out of her window to collect a postal delivery just after midday on Saturday.
