It seems like Amy Winehouse has the world at her feet. She’s got five Grammys, successfully completed rehab and has a new line of beauty products coming out. But despite all the positive things going for her, it seems Amy just can’t get it together, proving perhaps once again just how hard it is to kick a drug addiction.
Britain’s The Sun is reporting that the soulful singer’s friends are begging Amy to go back to rehab, fearing that she is “getting back to her worst.”
A friend of the singer said, “Amy’s in an awful state again — she’s clearly on drugs. Many of us think full-time residential rehab is the only option, but she won’t go back.”
Amy’s family and friends have reportedly held crisis talks this week after photos of her surfaced revealing numerous scratches on her left arm. The 24-year old has a history of self-harming while high on drugs. She also displayed mystery marks and spots on her knuckles and hands during a shopping trip in London this week where witnesses say she stocked up on candy and sweets.
“Everyone who’s seen her in the last week or so has been really disturbed by the state she’s in,” sources say. “It was hoped her new album and fashion range would keep her focused but it hasn’t worked.
Even Amy’s beloved incarcerated hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil, has reportedly threatened to ban her from visiting him because he is convinced she is still taking crack cocaine. The pair got into a fight at London’s Pentonville Prison over the weekend when Blake told Amy “not to bother” making any more visits after she turned up an hour late.

“I’m not saying it’s right, but the music business has always been about sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.” Janet Jackson was surprised Natalie Cole criticized Grammy voters for setting a bad example to young stars by handing troubled Amy Winehouse five awards.
I didn’t really think that Natalie Cole had any room to talk, considering her drug past.

Natasha Bedingfield has pledged her support to troubled singer Amy Winehouse, praising the public for changing their opinion of her. Bedingfield is amazed that the public and the media have moved from criticizing Amy’s wild antics to actively supporting her recovery.
Speaking at the Brit Awards on Wednesday, she said, “It’s good to see her back on her feet. Everyone has moved to really supporting her now, whereas before everyone saw her as this thing to talk about and worry about. I’m really pleased for her.”
Now we all know that she can’t fully recover from her demons in this short time, but we’re hoping that she stays on track with what she’s doing.

Amy Winehouse’s backup singer Zalon Thompson says that Amy is “full of life.” She added, “Amy’s full of energy, full of life. It’s a good thing.”
The singer, who bagged five Grammys on the 10th is “ready for the Brits”, he says, referring to Amy’s scheduled performance at the London ceremony Wednesday.
“I think sometimes it takes you to go through certain hard things to overcome and to go on to do better things,” Thompson, says of Winehouse, who is out of rehab but still receiving treatment. “She looked really good at the Grammys. She just looked very rested. It was great.”
And the teardrop on Amy’s face? “That teardrop she’s wearing in makeup on her face – I asked her. It’s because her baby’s incarcerated. I think she’ll wear that until he comes out.”

Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has thanked a British newspaper for publishing a film of his daughter smoking crack – insisting the move shocked her into seeking treatment.
Winehouse checked into a rehab clinic in London last month after a video showing the star taking a variety of illegal substances was passed on to The Sun.
The Back To Black hitmaker left the facility last week looking healthier and happier than in recent months and went on to wow the audience at the Grammy Awards on Sunday with an impressive performance via satellite link-up.
Mitch Winehouse insists the newspaper did the right thing by publishing the harrowing footage.
He says, “Thanks must go to The Sun for publishing the drugs video that helped turn my daughter’s life around. Amy really wanted to get better herself this time – that was the most important factor in any recovery. But The Sun showing a film of Amy at her lowest gave her that extra kick she needed. The video turned out to be a blessing – as it led to my daughter going into rehab.”
Mitch is convinced she will complete her comeback at the forthcoming Brit Awards on February 20th. He adds, “The Grammys were Amy’s first goal and her next is to go to the Brit Awards, where she wants to be well enough to appear in person.”
