LOL, she looks like she’s having a BLAST.

Amy Schumer‘s Met Gala invitation was likely guaranteed the second she agreed to pose for Vogue, but apparently she was held at gunpoint to put on a fancy dress and hang out with celebrities and see a fashion show. Ugh. Come ON.

Some celebrities spend years trying to get onto the Met Gala guest list, then, once they do, they spend months preparing for it. Amy Schumer, on the other hand, wishes this year’s invitation had gotten lost in the mail. In a recent interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show, the 35-year-old comedian confessed to the host that the star-studded fashion event was far from fun, but rather a “punishment.”

“It’s people doing an impression of having a conversation … I don’t like the farce,” Schumer told Stern. “We’re dressed up like a bunch of f—king a–holes.”

Although Schumer attended as Alexander Wang’s date in a sexy, low-cut red gown embellished with chain detailing, she says throughout the evening, she kept wishing she was elsewhere — even after a surprise meet-and-greet with Queen Bey.

“I got to meet Beyoncé and she was like, ‘Is this your first Met Gala?’” the comedian said. “And I was like, ‘It’s my last.’”

What — seeing Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston tear it up on the dance floor wasn’t enough to make it fun? Schumer still wasn’t feeling it. “I don’t like it,” she said. “I have no interest in fashion … I don’t care.”

It’s like…if you don’t like it, don’t go. Don’t do a Vogue cover. Fashion means a LOT to some people, and if you wanna be the “down to earth” Jennifer Lawrence type, BE IT. Don’t go and complain, in my opinion, or call it a “punishment.”

Amy Schumer’s Book Gets REAL

Screen Shot 2016-08-17 at 11.54.10 AM

Let’s REALLY get inside…

Amy Schumer  just released her first book, a memoir entitled The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, and it looks pretty good. Now, she’s a great stand up but I’ve wondered if things hold up in book form, much like I LOVE Aziz Ansari’s stand up but find reading a book by him to be…a bit much. Anyhow, below is a sampling of some of the book. Two of the references in the excerpt deal with abuse so be warned for those reading.

She found boyfriend Ben Hanisch on a dating app: While hanging out with friend – and Trainwreck costar – SNL cast member Vanessa Bayer, Schumer says, “Vanessa said she’d heard of a dating app for your phone specifically aimed at creative people.”

After searching for possible dates, she “liked” a few men before matching with one guy: Ben Hanisch. He wasn’t an actor or photographer, as many of the men on the app were, and he didn’t live in N.Y.C. or L.A., but in Chicago.

She lost her virginity at 17 – during nonconsensual sex: “Without asking first, without kissing me, without so much as looking me in the eyes – or even confirming if I was awake,” she writes. Her boyfriend, upset the next day, apologized. Then Schumer says, she comforted him, telling him everything would be OK. “I was seventeen years old and wanted my boyfriend to like me.”

Her Mother Had an Affair With Her Best Friend’s Father: Schumer spoke about the moment that one of her dearest friendships came to an end, because the actress’ mom fell in love with her best friend’s dad (while still married to Schumer’s father).

Amy explained that one day she came home to find her mother extremely distraught, and that’s when she found out what was going on. “Because she couldn’t communicate vocally, she had to sign it to me. Since she is a teacher of the deaf, we all know a good amount of sign language in my family. Slowly, her hands trembling, she rose and signed to me, ‘I am leaving your father. Lou and I have fallen in love with each other.’ I signed the world, ‘again’ because I needed her to repeat herself. Again she signed, ‘I am leaving your father. Lou and I have fallen in love with each other.’”

She Was in An Abusive Relationship: “It proceeded to get worse and worse, and I started escaping the apartment whenever I could. I’d go to Starbucks, lock myself in the bathroom, and sit on the floor and cry. I knew I should go back to the East Coast, but I thought no one would ever love me as much as he did. I believed he was just as passionate about me as I was about him, and that if I did a better job of not making him mad, we’d be fine. I really felt he loved me. And I really loved him.

“I think somewhere in the course of our relationship, I started to confuse his anger and aggression for passion and love. I actually started to think that real love was supposed to look like that. The more you yelled at each other, the more you loved each other. The more physical an demeaning it got, the more you were really getting through to each other. And the more I was willing to stand by him, the more he’d understand I truly loved him and that we should be together forever.”

She’s still so young, and packed a lot of living into her life. As for the part about her boyfriend, I can’t find what app she used but it was reported that they met on Bumble, though she denied it….hmmm.

Amy Schumer Is A Good Friend

Screen Shot 2016-08-14 at 9.19.48 PM

Everyone had fun roles this weekend: Amy Schumer was a bridesmaid and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch was the birthday boy!

Schumer might be filming her new movie in Hawaii, but she took a weekend off to be a bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding, which was a pretty cute thing to do. The comedian, 35, shared a photo yesterday wearing a bridesmaid gown alongside her newlywed friends Tara and Rusty Fitton, and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch.

“Congratulations to @tara_alana and @rustolleum in the best wedding ever,” she captioned the black and white photo. “Very proud to be a bmaid.”

But also, it was boyfriend Ben’s 30th birthday- which means he’s a pretty dedicated boyfriend if he’s spending the big 3-0 being Schumer’s plus one. But hey, we know how SERIOUS they are.

Hopefully they took advantage of the open bar…

Amy Schumer’s Marie Claire Cover/Interview Are HOT

Loving this cover AND interview, y’all.

Amy Schumer is on August’s Marie Claire cover, and not only does the shot look good and not super “sexy,” but the interview feels pretty raw. You can check out Schumer’s cover profile here at Marie Claire, but here are my favorite bits:

Navigating fame & success: “It’s such a blur. I don’t even remember what I’ve just done. I’m trying to figure out how to navigate all this. I don’t have it down. I. Do. Not.”

On what she was like growing up:
“I was always self-effacing, self-reflective. I hated feeling I was just like every other girl on Long Island. Looking at my clothes and my hair. I was very aware of not wanting to be the same as everyone.”

On her first sexual experience: “My first sexual experience was not a good one. I didn’t think about it until I started reading my journal again. When it happened, I wrote about it almost like a throwaway. It was like, And then I looked down and realized he was inside of me. He was saying, ‘I’m so sorry’ and ‘I can’t believe I did this.’”

On the election: “This election, Trump, it’s so upsetting. I did some stand-up at Hilary’s [Clinton] birthday party, and I’m in the same room as her and Bill and [New York Senator] Kirsten Gillibrand, and they were not worried about Trump at all. I’ve just been holding on to that for dear life.”

On dating Ben Hanisch: “I feel like Ben is the first guy who’s really been my boyfriend. There are guys who, if they heard me say that, would want to punch me in the face, but yeah, it’s the truth…. Being in love is the scariest thing in the world. You want to f-ing cry and scream. I can’t handle it. Every time we say good-bye, I think, This will have been a nice last week together. Or I tell myself nothing is real and he’s going to leave me and tell me he never loved me. I feel so bad for him. How exhausting it must be dating me.”

Loving the information- and the part about dating her boyfriend feels less like most celebs when asked about their significant others. She’s being real- insecure- about it, a real departure from the “they’re really special to me, we try to keep it real” BS. This is the REALNESS!
