Amanda Seyfried named the face of Givenchy!

Amanda Seyfried has just been named the new face of Givenchy.  Amanda replaces Liv Tyler in promoting Very Irresistable Givenchy perfume. Givenchy released a statement saying Amanda has the “style and elegance” the brand needs, and “is a chic, sexy woman who is a perfect fit for Givenchy.”

When Amanda found out she had been chosen, she responded with a “F**K yeah!” Here’s more from WWD:

When she found out she landed the Givenchy role: “F*** yeah. It’s an honest collaboration. I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I'm involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.”

She’ll never launch her own fragrance: “They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.”

Career choices: “I like indulging in certain situations which I wouldn’t normally be in. I like that idea, of playing somebody really lost or going through something impossible to understand, because that’s a journey in itself. You come out of those experiences with a richer, broader view. Lovelace felt like a big shift in my life and career. That culture is fascinating. I loved the idea of portraying her internal stuff and examining what was going on behind the scenes, that no one saw. Knowing that we were only telling her story made it a lot easier for me — I had to respect her and be her voice. That was the challenge. At the end of the day, it wasn’t really a movie about pr0n. It was about abuse between a husband and wife. The pr0n part was easy to wrap my head around — it was more the violence and the emotionally disturbing dynamic that she and her husband had that was challenging.”

She wants to be a producer: “It’s great to get your ideas heard and to have creative input, to be part of the process. At some point, I’d love to produce things that I don’t necessarily have to be acting in.”

What do you think about Amanda for Givenchy? I think she’s a perfect choice. She’s gorgeous!

Amanda Seyfried: “Imagine deep throating a penis…”

SAY WHAT!?

Apparently that’s how Amanda Seyfried was able to hit the high notes, when she played Cosette in ‘Les Miserables.’

In the new issue of Allure, Amanda explains the x-rated tip (no pun intended) helped her pull off the musical role.

“Imagine deep-throating a penis, get that feeling in the back of your throat, and then sing,” Seyfried said to Allure. “That’s where your larynx is.”

Mind out of the gutter for a moment: Seyfried, who played Cosette in the musical, stars as famed porn star Linda Lovelace in “Lovelace.” Seyfried told the magazine she used experiences on that film to help with “Les Miserables.”

“I had a hard time letting go of Linda at the end of the movie,” Seyfried told the Associated Press after the “Lovelace” premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. “I had a really intense time with [co-star] Peter Sarsgaard [who plays Lovelace's abusive husband]. I think we both had a hard time letting go because we went to these places [...] the only thing that helped was getting onto ‘Les Mis.’”

Despite the difficult shoot, Seyfried told Allure that playing Lovelace did change her: “It made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn’t been,” she said. It also, apparently, helped her hit the high notes.

I want to hear more about this “really intense time” she had with Peter Sarsgaard! Who’s with me.

Amanda Seyfried covers Allure, and talks about her boobs: “They do get in the way a lot.”

Amanda Seyfried covers the May issue of Allure Magazine, and she looks gorgeous as always. She’s probably promoting her new movie ‘The Big Wedding,’ although she doesn’t come out and really talk about it. One thing she does talk about, is her BOOBS!

On her shrinking boobs: “I saw a picture of them a couple of days ago from when I was 19, and my boobs were way bigger. They were a D, and now they’re a small C, because I lost weight. There was something so beautiful about the size of them. When I look back, I’m like, ‘Why did I always give myself such a hard time?’ Nobody gave me sh-t about it except me.’”

They get in the way: “They do get in the way a lot,” the Les Miserables actress says. “Like, I wear a really small, tight sports bra when I go running . . . because they want to smack my chin.”

On Linda Lovelace: “Maybe this is backwards, but because she found the power in herself and in her body at a point, it made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn’t been. I’ve got parts of me that I wish were tighter, but I don’t kill myself, because it’s not worth it.”

On having an “extraterrestrial” face: “I like that. I’d rather not be ordinary-looking. I want something different about me. We all want to be originals.”

It’s understandable that her boobs would get smaller – SHE got smaller! I like her, always have. Remember ‘Big Love’? Man I miss it!

One more beautiful picture under the jump! (more…)

REPORT: Anne Hathaway THREW A FIT over Amanda Seyfried’s Oscar gown.

Seems like Anne Hathaway’s Oscar dress fiasco has overshadowed the Oscars themselves. Are we still talking about who won best picture? No, we’re still talking about Anne Hathaway’s dress disaster. Anyway, as you may recall, Anne was apparently all set up to wear a Valentino gown on Oscar day, but the day before the awards, Anne saw a picture of what her ‘Les Miserables’ costar Amanda Seyfried was going to be wearing – and she FREAKED. She scrapped the (reportedly) gorgeous Valentino gown she was going to wear – and opted instead to wear the pink Prada dress everyone loves to hate.

An insider close to the situation tells Us Hathaway learned during an Oscar rehearsal at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 22 that Seyfried planned to wear a dress notably similar to hers to the ceremony. After Hathaway asked about her pal’s dress, Seyfried graciously shared an iPhone snap of the Alexander McQueen creation.

“Anne was like ‘WTF?!’” the source reports. “She started throwing a fit!” The 30-year-old Best Supporting Actress victor, however, “never told Amanda she had to change the dress.” Still, Seyfried, 27, was ruffled by Hathaway’s tirade. “Amanda didn’t want to deal with it and left” the rehearsal, the source notes.

But the drama didn’t end there — spilling into Oscars Sunday, as Hathaway fretted over the switch-up with her glam squad at home. “Anne made the fashion, make up, hair, and jewelry teams wait at her home for hours as she decided what to do about the dress debacle,” a second insider tells Us. The star also “asked for silence so she could rehearse her singing for the Les Mis tribute at the Oscars. It was a painfully long experience.”

Hathaway acknowledged the kerfuffle in a surprising statement released by her publicist earlier this week. “It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans,” the “I Dreamed a Dream” singer said. “Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last-minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself. I deeply regret any disappointment caused.”

“I kind of can’t understand why Anne didn’t wear the Valentino gown, anyway,” the first source opines. “She was the one winning the award, not Amanda. Who cares?”

I can TOTALLY see this story being true, and honestly…… I think any woman would feel the same. If she did have a freak out – then that’s not cool, but I think being upset someone’s wearing a dress similar to yours is pretty understandable. Anne should have seen the picture – and just changed her dress – without throwing a fit (if that’s what happened). Amanda probably had no idea what Anne was going to wear – so I’m sure there was no ill intent involved.

Anne Hathaway’s disastrous pink Prada Oscar’s dress EXPLAINED

Anne Hathaway pretty unanimously wore one of Sunday night’s least favorite dresses. The pink satin Prada dress with the bizarre darting around the nipple area, was a disaster. Thing is – it wasn’t even her first choice. Turns out the Oscar winner had a Valentino dress picked out – up until the very last minute. In fact, Valentino’s people had already released a press statement saying Anne would be wearing their gown.

So what happened? According to E! Anne decided at the last minute to ditch her Valentino gown and wear the Prada one instead because she was concerned Amanda Seyfreid’s Alexander McQueen gown.

When it comes to selecting the Oscar gown, it’s no surprise that quite a bit of careful analysis goes into the strategic style selection. After all, an Oscar dress on a nominee, let alone a winner, will forever be remembered in history.

So upon seeing Anne Hathaway in a blush-pink Prada design on last night’s red carpet, we couldn’t help but wonder what happened to her trademark Valentino couture loyalty. After all, the star has consistently worn the designer on countless red carpets, and even had Mr. Valentino design her wedding dress months ago.

More peculiarly, Valentino even sent out a confirmation press release earlier in the afternoon declaring that the Les Misérables actress would be donning a design from the house, and shortly thereafter Fashion Police’s George Kotsiopoulos predicted on-air during the E! Oscars preshow that she’d wear an ivory embellished gown with a high neckline by the designer.

So what happened?

A source close to the actress confirms to E! News that shortly before Hathaway stepped out on the red carpet she learned that Amanda Seyfried’s Alexander McQueen Oscar gown was strikingly similar to her selected Valentino design, and opted for the Prada dress last minute.

A quick side-by-side comparison shows that both pale gowns were embellished with beautiful delicate floral embroidery—perhaps a little too close for comfort, in the opinion of the Oscar winner.

Hathaway explained to E!’s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet that she “didn’t know what I was wearing until about three hours ago,” and said her work schedule was to blame. “This is the one that spoke to me in the end.”

Now I want to know what Anne’s OTHER dress looked like!
