Alicia Keys is the latest star rumored to be recording the new James Bond theme.

The singer is reportedly the top contender to sing the title track for the superspy’s latest outing, Quantum Of Solace, with a source telling E! Online: “I believe Alicia is the winner.”

A representative for Keys has declined to comment on the reports, stating there is “no info” currently available.

Speculation about who will sing the title track for the new 007 movie has been rife - with rumors that Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Beyonce Knowles, Duran Duran and Welsh singer Duffy all have been considered for the project.

Alicia Keys has decided she wants to retire by the age of 30 - so she can spend the rest of her life travelling the world.

The 27-year-old star often finds herself exasperated by the pressures of fame and in 2006 she took a break from music and travelled to Egypt to recuperate. And the Fallin’ hitmaker insists that she hopes to be able to bow out of the entertainment industry in the next few years, so she can start enjoying her time.

She says, “I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want. I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures.”

Alicia Keys wants to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and adopt a brood of multi-racial children.

The singer insists she loves kids and working alongside South African orphans in 2006 charity movie We Are Together made her broody to have children of her own.

But the 28-year-old insists motherhood is on the backburner for now, while she pursues her singing career.

Speaking to WENN at a special screening of the movie in New York City on Thursday night, Keys said, “I’ve always loved kids. Kids are so important. It’s important to nurture and spend time with them and listen to them.

“I’m not ready to be a mom. But (adoption) is something that is important to consider. That’s what I really admire about Angelina. I think it’s beautiful the way she embraces children of the world.”

And she insists she would like to create a family of different cultures, like Jolie: “We are all one. We’re not as separate as we oftentimes think. So I possibly would (adopt), when I’m more in the motherhood stage of my life.”

Keys leads an intensely private personal life, but is rumoured to be dating and planning to marry record producer and business partner Kerry ‘Krucial’ Brothers.

Alicia Keys has set up one of the oddest collaborations in music history by revealing she wants to work with the White Stripes.

The Fallin’ singer insists she’s keen to take her music in a different direction and would like her next album to include eclectic tracks with the White Stripes and Queens of The Stone Age.

Keys admits the White Stripes are one of her favorite bands: “They’re very raw, very cut and dry. It’s, like, drums and guitar. It’s that simple, and I love that. I think that combining that style with mine, which already has a raw feel to it, and my voice, I just think we could do something really interesting that mixes rock and soul together, the blues and emotion, and it could be really touching.”

And Keys claims the unlikely collaboration isn’t as far-fetched as some might imagine: “We’ve had some conversations. When the time works out, and it definitely will, it will happen.”

Lindsay Lohan is casting models for a photo shoot debuting her new leggings line.

The Mean Girls actress is often seen sporting a pair of leggings, and now she’s turning her fashion favourites into what she hopes will be a money-spinner.
But the 21-year-old won’t be extending her wealth to the participants - models for the line’s first pictorial won’t be paid.

In a casting notice, the ad calls for models with “diverse, multi-cultural” looks and welcomes “off beauty”. It also specifies “no blondes please”.

The shoot is scheduled to take place on Friday May 9th in Los Angeles.
