As OK! first reported yesterday, it seems there’s even more buzz about the hottest new couple to make their debut during the Super Bowl festivities last weekend. A source tells OK! that the twosome are definitely into each other, and aren’t afraid to hide it.

“A-Rod and Cameron have been totally hooking up,” the insider dishes to OK!, adding in their obvious affection during the CAA party on Saturday night in Miami as further proof of their passion for each other.
OK! brought fans the news yesterday of this super hot Super Bowl couple, who showed off their new chemistry with some hot dance moves while partying it up with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

It looked like Alex Rodriguez rebounded with 25-year-old design consultant Elaine Spottswood awfully quickly after his split with Kate Hudson — and it turns out that may be because the Yankee slugger already had the younger blonde on deck.

“Elaine and Alex have been romantic for a few months, since before he and Kate ended their relationship,” says an insider close to the couple, who met through friends a few years ago, but began heating up in November.

And apparently, A-Rod didn’t do much to hide his affections: According to one insider, he constantly texted Elaine, even while he was with Kate. In fact, as millions of viewers watched Kate and her family cheer Alex on during the World Series, he was secretly planning sexy dates with Elaine.

“Kate is devastated and feels stupid,” says a friend of the actress. “She thought that she and Alex were moving toward marriage, and all the while he was not taking the relationship as seriously as she was. She never would have imagined he would cheat on her.”

Elaine openly admits she and Alex are spending time with each other, but insists she’s not behind the breakup, calling it a mutual decision between the two. “It’s only recently that we’ve reconnected, about a month or so ago,” Elaine tells In Touch.

Despite her show-stopping singing in Nine, don’t expect Kate Hudson to croon a Madonna tune anytime soon. The actress dumped her boyfriends of eight months, Alex Rodriguez, when she realized the Yankee third baseman was still in love with the “Material Girl,” with whom he had a passionate affair after splitting from his wife Cynthia, in July of 2008. Rumors of a breakup started circulating since Kate made the rounds promoting her new movie musical. Even David Letterman couldn’t resist asking what was up with the pair.

When he pressed her for relationship details, Kate dissolved into giggles and said A-Rod was “a nice guy,” adding that it “was a really fun summer.”

But off camera, she wasn’t smiling. The source confirms she told A-Rod they would have no future if he persisted in talking to Madge.

When he refused, Kate was forced to call it quits.

“Kate was mad with jealousy,” says a source close to the star. “She gave A-Rod three chances to stop contacting Madonna. When she found out that he was still calling and texting her, she hit the roof. How would you feel if your new boyfriend kept calling his ex?”

A NOT-SO-SHOCKING SPLIT

A-Rod insists he and the Material Mom are just friends. According to the source, he told Kate she was acting crazy and needed to get over it.

But Kate knows A-Rod’s reputation and she didn’t believe him.

“It broke her heart to break up with him, but she didn’t have any choice. There was no way she was going to allow herself to become ‘the other woman.’ She said that if Madonna is what A-Rod wants then she can have him.”

Friends are not surprised by the split; they’ve witnessed trouble brewing between the couple for a while.

“Kate and A-Rod were having lots of arguments in the two weeks before they broke up. They were fighting about everything and just couldn’t get along,” says the source.

“Kate was also worried that her parents didn’t like him. Her mom [Goldie Hawn] had told her that she worried about his lifestyle — always being on the road and with so many temptations — made him an unsuitable father figure for Kate’s son. Kate decided to end it before things with A-Rod got too messy.”

Kate Hudson is talking to Owen Wilson again, now that her romance with baseball star Alex Rodriguez is over.

Since splitting with A-Rod, Kate has wasted no time getting back in contact with the actor. Says an insider, “They hadn’t seen each other for some time, but when things took a turn for the worse with Alex, Kate got in touch with Owen. They are reestablishing their friendship — we’ll see what happens.”

Owen always seems to be available whenever Kate needs him, the insider claims, and they had broken up and reunited several times before splitting for good in April 2009. “They know each other really well. They were talking about getting married at one time,” says the insider. “Their friends also think there are unresolved feelings between them. There’s something there.”

Alex strikes out again!

Kate Hudson and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez have split, a Hudson pal confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Hudson, 30, was mum when asked about the slugger, 34, on the Late Show With David Letterman last Thursday.

“You’re a big Yankees fan, and you’re friends with Alex Rodriguez,” Letterman asked the Nine star.

She nervously laughed. “Yeah, he’s a friend of mine,” she said. “Nice guy.”

After the two began dating this past May, Hudson followed him closely during the Yankees’ winning season. She was photographed front and center at numerous games, including ones in Miami and Toronto.

Before Rodriguez, Hudson – who has a son, Ryder, 5, with ex-husband Chris Robinson – dated Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard and Lance Armstong.

“I love boys,” she told the December issue of Elle UK. I believe they’re really simple. Every guy likes to say that they’re complicated, but they’re so easy to figure out. What did that Dr. Laura say? Something like, ‘All men want is sex and for you to make them a sandwich.’ I thought that was really funny–and not entirely untrue.”

Despite her revolving door of men, she said her family has never judged her.

“My mother [Goldie Hawn] never shook anybody’s hand. She has kissed and hugged her way through life,” she tells the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar.”[My family had] an open-door policy. We were never afraid to bring the wrong person home. They were always open to our failures.”

Is it all over between Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez? HollywoodLife.com says so, citing sources who say A-Rod was partying it up with the ladies in Miami all weekend while Kate was in NYC promoting Nine. The Yankee slugger supposedly played the field at Wall Lounge in the W Hotel Friday night “with two women,” the source says, adding, “He was acting VERY single, and Kate Hudson was definitely not there.”

The source also said, “Kate and A-Rod broke up.”

Meanwhile, Kate was dining out with friends at Prime Meats in Brooklyn and seemed happy enough.

Then on Saturday, A-Rod showed up at the Armani Exchange “Cool Shades of Style” dinner at the Solarium above the Delano Hotel in Miami, once again flying solo.

Hollywood Life says the couples’ reps haven’t responded yet, but that their sources are adamant that the split happened, saying, “They are totally over.”

Kate Hudson says Alex Rodriguez is a “nice” guy.

The 30-year-old actress – who stars in the new musical movie ‘Nine’ – is still refusing to disclose any details about her relationship with the baseball player, nicknamed A-Rod, despite being photographed with him on numerous occasions over the summer.

Kate, who appeared on the ‘Late Show’ with host David Letterman, was asked if she was a big Yankees fan and friend with Alex Rodriguez, to which she giggled and said: “Yeah, he’s a friend of mine. Nice guy.”

When the Hollywood actress was asked how they’d met she tried to change the conversation but finally caved in when she was asked if he was a nice guy.

She said: “Yeah, he’s a nice guy. You just can’t help yourself! You just can’t! I knew it was going to come at some point!”

She also said she’d had a “really fun” summer.

Kate recently spoke about how she gets frustrated with the constant speculation over her private life.

She said: “I can’t go two months without being pregnant, engaged, or breaking up because I’m too needy, which is always the one they love. I’m not needy. You kind of have to laugh it off, but it can kind of screw up other things around it.”
