Adrian Grenier has rushed to the defence of paparazzi darling Paris Hilton – congratulating her on her “ballsy” relationship with the media.

The pair sent gossips into a spin last year with rumors of an alleged romance.

And though Grenier insists their relationship is purely platonic – he admits he holds the heiress in high regard because of her artful way of dealing with reporters.

He says, “I have a lot of respect for Paris. She’s ballsy. She’s learned to play with the paparazzi attention and have fun with it, and she creates little mysteries in the tabloid arena. She’s an artist painting on a different canvas. I have fun with her, but it’s always been platonic. (Our relationship) wasn’t sexual – though I can understand that sex sells.”

Adrien Grenier wanted his character on Entourage to be more environmentally friendly – until he realized it would make the show boring.

Grenier hassled series producers for years about trying to make his movie star character, Vincent Chase, more green-minded but they always ignored him.

And now he is glad that show bosses refused to give in to his demands – as it was for the good of viewers.

Grenier tells the New York Post’s PageSix magazine, “For years, I tried to get producers to have Vinny sell his Hummer (sports utility vehicle) and buy a (enviromentally friendly Toyota) Prius. Then, I realized this show is entertainment. I know that Entourage is often demeaning and crude, but there’s also a lot of social commentary.”

Adrian Grenier and his girlfriend, Transformers 2 star Isabel Lucas, have split on the heels of her car crash while driving with costar Shia LaBeouf, a source tells People.

The pair broke up about three weeks ago, right after the accident that left LaBeouf with a crushed hand. “It wasn’t working out,” says a source. “Adrian saw her with Shia and that was kind of it – the crash, their hanging out. He obviously didn’t appreciate it.”

Lucas, 22, was the passenger in LaBeouf’s car. She was treated for minor bumps and bruises at the hospital and released.

According to reports, Lucas had been dating Entourage star Grenier, 32, for several months.

Reps for Grenier and Lucas weren’t immediately available for comment.

ET has confirmed that ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ actress Isabel Lucas, was the mystery passenger in Shia LaBeouf’s weekend truck accident and went back to work on the movie’s set on Monday.

Isabel Lucas has been dating Adrien Grenier for a while now.

Lucas and the other driver were treated for minor injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A., while Shia underwent surgery on his hand. The ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull‘ star was also arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman.

Entourage star Adrian Grenier is looking to cash in on his forthcoming birthday – by reportedly charging clubs a fee for the “honour” of hosting his party.

The actor, who has previously charged $30,000 for his band the Honey Brothers to play gigs, is set to turn 32 on 10 July – and has allegedly been shopping around his celebrations to the highest-bidding venue.

A source tells New York gossip column Page Six, “He’s been asking clubs in the Hamptons for $50,000 for the honour of throwing him a birthday party.”

A rep for Grenier denies the star has played a role in negotiating the deal, claiming it is his “entrepreneurial” manager who is booking the bash.
