Adam Sandler has blamed the media for influencing his box office ratings - because they never write good things about him.
The funnyman ignores critics who deliberately write bad reviews of his films but he is angry when their opinions influence the public.
He says, “You know what, I don’t even believe half the things they say anymore - they’ve been writing bad stuff about me for a long time. I remember one time this lady came up to me and said ‘I’m not gonna see your movie but my friend said it was good’. And I was like ‘OK why can’t you see it again?’ and she said, ‘Oh I read that it wasn’t very good’ and I said, ‘What about your friend’ and she was like, ‘Yeah she’s not that smart’.”

Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie have clashed over an infestation of bees in their Hollywood home.
Thousands of the insects have set up home in a chimney in the couple’s master bedroom.
Sandler wants to have them killed, but his spouse is refusing to let him call in the exterminator.
The actor explains, “We woke up recently and there were a bunch of bees in the master bedroom. They came out of the chimney. It was terrifying. I said ‘let’s call the exterminator’, but my wife said, ‘No, you can’t kill them.’
Sandler jokes about the compromise they came to: “I talked to them, we’re getting a buck each for rent money - that’s $1100 a week in rent.”

Adam Sandler’s going to be a big daddy.
The comedian, 41, announced on Wednesday’s Tonight Show With Jay Leno that he and his wife Jackie are expecting their second child.
She is three-and-a-half months pregnant.
Sandler joked that his wife has been suffering “all day” from morning sickness.
“In the beginning, I would rub her back and go, ‘It’s worth it. We’re going to have another beautiful baby, I love you, thanks for doing this,’” he said.
Their daughter Sadie is 2.
“I got to figure out which school she’s going to now,” he told Leno.
Of being a dad, Sandler has said, “It’s a lot of fun.
“You know what is surprising? That the kid looks through me. The kid… there’s no focus… Every time I think the kid likes me I’m like, ‘Oh, she’s staring at my forehead right now.’”

The funnymen took the stage at New York’s Beacon Theater for a Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert For Autism Education, hosted by U.S. TV host Jon Stewart.
The show, which was broadcast live on American cable network Comedy Central, also featured Matthew Broderick, Susan Sarandon, Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman, Will Arnett, Amy Poehler and chat show host Conan O’Brien.
Broderick said, “It’s fun to be here. I’m a fan of 94 per cent of the performers. I’m always a little nervous. I hope it goes well.”
The last autism special, which took place in 2006, raised almost $3 million (GBP1.5 million).
