Adam Lambert and his Finnish reality star boyfriend Sauli Koskinen are back in the US – just days after being arrested in Finland for fist-fighting each other outside a gay bar.

In this Twitter pic that Adam posted yesterday, it would appear the couple have kissed and made up!

“Xmas Eve with the Koskinens! Just had a huge traditional Finnish feast and now opening gifts! Merry and bright! Hyvää ja rauhallista joulua!” Adam wrote.

Even though he and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen have kissed and made up, American Idol alum Adam Lambert still says he is embarrassed about the couple’s highly publicized fight and subsequent arrest in Finland following an alleged drunken fight at a gay bar — but he claims the media exaggerated the story.

“Violence is not to be taken lightly. Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates,” the singer Tweeted Thursday night.

Lambert, 29, and Koskinen, 26, were reportedly taken to jail early Thursday morning in Helsinki, where Koskinen is a reality TV star, after getting into a fight in a well-known gay club. Police were investigating possible assault charges, but nothing was filed.

The pair read about themselves in the news while laughing about the incident over “hangover burgers,” and blamed the incident on alcohol and jetlag.

They have more to celebrate, seeing as how the police won’t pursue any criminal charges against the pair.

Adam Lambert has a bit of a bad boy streak in him! Who would have thunk it? Actually, I’m not totally surprised. He kinda looks like he has a nasty side to him. Apparently Adam was at a gay bar in Helsinki, Finland, when he got into a fight with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen. His boyfriend is a Finn, maybe they were home for the holiday’s?

American Idol star Adam Lambert spent several hours in a Finnish jail Thursday after being arrested outside a Helsinki gay bar following a brawl with his Finnish boyfriend, local reality star Sauli Koskinen.

According to Petri Juvonen, who is heading up the police investigation into the event, Lambert and Koskinen were arrested at around 4 a.m. Thursday morning outside DTM (Don’t Tell Mama), a famous Helsinki gay club. Both men are being held for questioning as local police investigate a total of four possible assault offenses. Juvonen tells the Hollywood Reporter that the two would likely be released after being interrogated.

According to media reports out of Finland, the dispute between the two men started in one of DTM’s back rooms. Lambert and Koskinen, a winner of the Finnish version of Big Brother, were apparently kicked out of the club but carried on fighting in the street outside.

Finnish beauty queen Sofia Ruusila, an ex-Miss Helsinki, who had been celebrating with Lambert and Koskinen, told a Finnish entertainment channel that she had tried to get between the quarrelling couple when Lambert accidently hit her by mistake.

Lambert arrived in Finland on Monday, Dec. 19 to celebrate Christmas with Koskinen. There had been much internet speculation that Lambert was scheduled to be a guest performer on Thursday’s finale of the X Factor. A show spokesperson denied the booking and clearly, being 5,100 miles and a continent away, a Lambert appearance was not in the cards.

It’s unclear when he’ll return to the U.S. or whether he’ll face charges in Finland.

Lambert’s new single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” was released on Tuesday. The singer last tweeted on Wednesday at around noon Helsinki time boasting that the song was No. 2 on iTunes in the Middle East. He had earlier written in Finnish, “Helsinki is a beautiful city full of beautiful people! Thank you!”

UPDATED: Investigator Juvonen has completed his interrogation and the two were released on Thursday afternoon. Koskinen later blogged about the incident, writing in Finnish (as translated by Google): “Celebrities are people too and fame is not easy. Love is not always easy either, but it’s forever.” Koskinen goes on to say that the “hangover is gone already” and “Paparazzi, police stations have back doors, too, go away already.”

He hit a girl! And a beauty queen no less? Tsk, Tsk!

The MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Belfast, Ireland yesterday.

Lady Gaga too home the most awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast Sunday, winning four prizes (one more when she led the pack with three in 2010).

The flamboyant 25-year-old New Yorker won best female, best song and video for her hit single “Born This Way” as well as the biggest fans award.

“I knew that this song was very special when I wrote it and I just didn’t know when I first started out … how special you would all be to me,” a tearful Gaga told a packed, boisterous Odyssey Arena as she accepted the best song award.

“This is the single most important song that I’ve ever written and the single most important album. I love you little monsters to the end!” she added, using the term she employs to describe her fans.

Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber was among the other multiple winners, picking up best pop act and top male singer.

Much of the attention in the run-up to the awards has been on the 17-year-old, who has denied allegations made by a U.S. woman that he fathered her child when he was 16.

Accepting the second of his awards, he said: “There’s been a lot of crap talked about me lately, but I’ve pulled through!” according to MTV.

Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, hosted the MTV event, and the pair were photographed out the previous night in the city in a public show of togetherness.

She also told Katy Perry during the show “I think he’s cute!”

Los Angeles rockers Thirty Seconds to Mars won two awards — best alternative act and best world stage — as did Bruno Mars, honored as the best new act and “push” artist who was promoted by MTV as an up-and-coming talent.

Perry was voted best live act, Eminem won best hip-hop artist, repeating his 2010 success, and Linkin Park scooped best rock. More than 150 million MTV viewers voted and decided most of the categories.
