Adam Brody has beaten Justin Long to the role of The Flash in the upcoming Justice League movie, according to new Internet reports.

A source close to the set of the movie tells website iesb.com that Brody has landed the superhero part, while multiple insiders claim rapper Common will play John Stewart/The Green Lantern in the film.

The site also claims that stories connecting actress Teresa Palmer to the part of Wonder Woman in the movie are not true; instead she has been cast as Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul.

The website reveals, “Actors have been sworn to secrecy and have been warned not to reveal their involvement even to their closest friends and relatives. “One studio source, who has been asked not to be mentioned by name, told the IESB that several actors that starting talking early on were warned by the production that they could lose the role if they revealed their character or even the fact that they had been cast.”

Actor Adam Brody considers his career a success now he has shot a movie love scene with Hollywood sex symbol Meg Ryan.

The 27-year-old former The O.C. star is proud to be the latest name on the list of Ryan’s onscreen love interests - a prestigious club including Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks, Hugh Jackman and Alec Baldwin - after starring alongside her in In The Land Of Women. Brody says, “When I got the part I thought about how many leading men she (Ryan) has been opposite, which are some of the greatest actors of this generation and I was excited and intimidated by that,” says a relaxed Brody from his home in Los Angeles. “I just didn’t want her to be disappointed in me. But I think we got along well and I think there was some chemistry there.

“I have been in teen shows for years, so doing that stuff (kissing) is kind of commonplace and not a big deal. “It was way more cool just because it was Meg Ryan.”

Adam Brody is glad hit show The O.C. has come to a close, because he had no choice but to test himself in other roles. The 27-year-old played Seth Cohen on the teen drama between 2003 and 2006 and loved his job so much, he admits he needed a push to seek fresh challenges. He is now looking to make more movies after earning good reviews for his performances in Thank You For Smoking and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. He says, “We all got on so well and the scripts were so good that we would’ve done it for years. This way we’re forced out into the world. I can play new geeks now.”

Onscreen lovebirds Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody, who play a cute couple on The O.C. and have also dated offscreen since 2004, have decided to call it quits. “They’ve been done for a few weeks,” a friend close to the couple tells Life & Style. “They are just done. That’s all there is to it. There’s no drama. They just ended it.” That may explain why Adam showed up solo to a party on Nov. 28 for the U.S. premiere of Volkswagen’s concept car Tiguan in LA. “He was definitely acting like a single guy,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. According to nightlife insiders in LA, he’s been spending a lot of time without Rachel at the clubs with his guy friends. Reps for the two would not comment.
