After meeting on a Facebook page for former Bachelor and Bachelorette cast members, Tara Durr, who was on season nine, and John Presser, who was on season five, fell in love.
On Nov. 6, they married in front of 400 guests at the Slammer & Squire golf course in St. Augustine, Fla. Resplendent in a strapless Simone Carvalli gown, Tara tells Life & Style it was the day of her dreams. “Everyone danced the whole night,” Tara says. “We all had such a great time.”
The two are currently having a more private celebration in Thailand, where they’re spending 12 days on their honeymoon.
Julien Hug, a former contestant on ‘The Bachelorette,’ was found dead Wednesday along a scenic southern California highway, Hug’s father, Bertrand Hug, confirmed.
Although authorities are “handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected,” RadarOnline reports that Hug, 35, shot himself in the head.
David Good, a contestant on the show during the same season as Hug and author of ‘The Man Code,’ was stunned by the tragic news. “My thoughts and prayers go out to Julien’s family. I speak on behalf of myself and the entire group from our season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ that he great standup guy. Julien was always the first to offer to cook food in the house and the one to offer up one of his ‘funny’ jokes that were entirely too long but hilarious nonetheless. A real housewife, a rocker, an Olympian and three actors are part of the inaugural season of “Skating With the Stars.”
ABC announced the cast of its new competition show Tuesday during “Dancing With the Stars.”
Reality star Bethenny Frankel, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil, ski champ Jonny Moseley and actors Sean Young, Rebecca Budig and Brandon Mychal Smith will take to the ice when the new show premieres on Nov. 22.
The show will have a similar format to “Dancing,” with stars learning new routines each week and performing them for judges scores and viewer votes.
I can’t even watch DWTS, man, I hate that show. Wonder if I’ll be able to handle a version on ice. No, probably not.
Former ‘Bachelor’ Jake Pavelka stepped out with a new blonde on his arm at a ‘Dancing With the Stars’ party Monday night, and he tells Us Weekly she is his new girlfriend, wedding planner Meghan Jones.
Jake told Us a friend introduced them less than two months ago and that they love to travel.
“We’re going to flip a coin in the morning,” he said. “It’s either going to be Hawaii, Australia, Bali or Bangkok. We’re just going to get up and go somewhere.”
Jake got engaged to Vienna Girardi on ‘The Bachelor’ last year but the couple had a nasty, televised split in July after he reportedly refused to have sex with her for months. In August Vienna announced she had a new boyfriend named John.
Hunky James Marsden (he was Cyclops in the X-Men movies and the prince in Enchanted) is about to heat up ABC’s Modern Family.
In an upcoming episode, James will play a neighbor of Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), who causes the boys’ temperatures to rise every time he whips off his shirt.
Ali Fedotowsky still says she wants to marry Roberto Martinez, but now she wants to wait a while. I see this as the beginning of the end. (They all end anyway don’t they).
“We’re waiting a little bit,” she told PEOPLE at the MNG by Mango for JCPenney Launch in Manhattan Tuesday. “We really want to make sure we’re doing this right.”
But that pause, she says, has nothing to do with how the couple feel about each other.
“Nothing has changed – we’re still just as happy as we were,” explains Fedotowsky, 26. “When we were finished [with the show], we were so excited. We were like, ‘Oh, we’re going to get married right away.’ But if you’re rushing because you’re in love, why rush? [Just] wait. You’re going to get married any way. We’re both sort of enjoying life.”
And the couple, who recently moved to San Diego together, are now feeling like homebodies – even favoring possible wedding venues “somewhere on the California coast.”
“We don’t want to have to travel to our own wedding,” she says. “We were thinking that maybe we’ll want to get married, then go home for a couple days, relax and then go on our honeymoon. We just came off like a three-month-long honeymoon on The Bachelorette. We were just in Tahiti! We’re tired of traveling like that.”
I have to admit, I do not watch Dancing With the Stars. It makes my skin crawl, I cannot STAND this show. But when I got online this morning and saw this video, I had to share. This here is a perfect example of why I can’t watch. I just do not find it entertaining in the least! Bristol Palin is a terrible dancer!
What’s hilarious is watching her partner, Mark Ballas dancing circles around her.
Apparently judges gave Bristol the second lowest scores of the night, the lowest going to Margaret Cho.
