Several reports online have said that Ashey Hebert will get engaged on the August 1 finale of ‘The Bachelorette’. I typically stay away from ‘The Bachelor’ spoilers, because I don’t want to have the surprise ruined! But I found myself clicking on this one simply because – I don’t really care who Ashley picks. I find her season to be one of the worst seasons of ‘The Bachelorette’ – second only to Ali’s season.

Remember this season when several of the Bachelor’s joked that they wished Emily was the Bachelorette instead of the highly annoying Ashley? Looks like they chose the wrong season to sign up, because rumor has it Emily is in talks to be the next Bachelorette!

Brad Womack’s Bachelor ex, 25, is angling to become the next star of ABC’s spin-off series, The Bachelorette — less than a month from splitting from Womack, 38.

“She hasn’t officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal,” a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Wednesday.

Though the single mom to 6-year-old Ricki has said appearing on the series was “the last thing on my mind,” the insider tells Us Maynard wants to use her stint on the show to jump-start a broadcast career. “She wants to be famous,” the source says of the aspiring TV host.

In addition to boosting her profile, Maynard seems eager to move on from Womack.

“He has issues, and you could tell from the start that it was never going to work with Emily,” another insider says. Still, Maynard tried her best, a pal confirms to Us: “She gave it everything she had.”

I would totally watch a season of The Bachelorette with Emily. I’m finding Ashley so incredibly annoying I have to fast forward half the show. (You may ask why I even bother watching, but I feel I have some sort of sickness that makes me tune in every week.)

Maybe she really is on the show to look for love, cause after reading this – she sure isn’t doing it for the money! According to Pop Eater, Ashley was paid a measly $30,000 for her stint on the reality show. That’s not awful, but compared to other reality stars make (that’s what the Jersey Shore cast makes PER EPISODE!) she certainly isn’t being paid much!

Reality stars aren’t always known for bringing home the bacon in terms of salaries, but there are always exceptions (we’re looking at you, ‘Jersey Shore’ kids).

With the latest season of ‘The Bachelorette’ starting to wind down, we were wondering: how much cash did desperate-for-love Ashley Hebert bring in thanks to the reality show?

Way less than you might think.

According to Us Weekly, the former ‘Bachelor’ cast-off only made $30,000 for her two months filming the matchmaking show. And while her paycheck is hardly chump change, it’s quite measly compared the Bachelors and Bachelorettes than came before her.

The studio has reportedly shelled out up to $100,000 for past cast members on the reality dating competition.

And just to put things her perspective: ABC paid 2009 ‘Bachelor’ Jason Mesnick and his love Molly Malaney $30,000 just for their two-hour wedding special last year.

Small pay check or not, Ashley was on a journey for find her husband this season and the recipient of her final rose will be revealed in the August 1 finale.

After ABC’s contract expired months of speculation following their fake engagement on The Bachelor season finale last March, Emily Maynard and Brad Womack have decided to call it quits. Or as I like to call it: Emily and Brad are finally allowed by ABC to tell people they’re no longer together.

“We’re no longer engaged,” a teary-eyed Maynard told PEOPLE minutes after taping an intimate interview with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, for a segment scheduled to air during the July 11 episode of ABC’s The Bachelorette.

Hounded by paparazzi and dogged by relentless tabloid rumors, the Charlotte, N.C., single mom, 25, decided to break her silence about the status of her and Womack’s relationship. By doing so, she hopes to put an end to “all the media speculation” so that she and her 6-year-old daughter, Ricki, “can move on and get back to normal.”

Womack, 38, declined to participate in the on-camera interview with Maynard. He tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that “the demise of our relationship was completely my fault.”

But Maynard disagrees, saying that while there’s still an immense amount of love between the pair, “just because we love each other doesn’t mean we’re right for each other.”

ABC must make them sign a contract to “appear” together for a certain amount of time before announcing their separation. If I had the time, I’d go back and see how long these Bachelor couples stay together on average.  Can’t be long!

I wish they would have broken up sooner so Emily could have been this season’s Bachelorette instead of Ashley. Ashley might top Ali as the most annoying Bachelorette in history!

He’s a Bachelor no more! Life & Style can exclusively reveal that Chris Lambton, who instantly became a fan favorite after losing Ali Fedotowsky’s heart on the finale of The Bachelorette, is engaged. The lucky girl? Peyton Wright, coincidentally a onetime contestant on The Bachelor.

“I found the love of my life in Peyton,” Chris tells Life & Style. “We are so incredibly happy together. She was worth the wait.”

At least someone’s finding love on this dang show.

Jake Pavelka and his once-fiance Vienna Girardi have both signed on to star in ABC’s summer hit, ‘Bachelor Pad’. I am so disgusted with the whole idea of putting these two in a house together for the sake of entertainment. But let’s be honest, that’s not gonna stop me from watching it.

The ABC show, which reunites some of the most memorable contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette to compete for $250,000, will bring together exes Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi, a source tells PEOPLE, when season 2 premieres Aug. 8 on ABC.

Pavelka and Girardi’s split last June ended in a nasty feud that played out on national TV, as Jake accused his season’s winner of being unfaithful, while she said he was a liar and a “fame whore.”

Who else is taking up residence (and jockeying for camera time) on Bachelor Pad 2 according to the source?

Kasey Kahl, who hoped to “guard and protect” Ali Fedotowsky’s heart last year; Erica Rose, who brought princess appeal to Lorenzo Borghese’s season; Justin Rego, who played drama king on Fedotowsky’s seaon with a secret girlfriend scandal; and Michelle Money, who became the resident villain for aggressively pursuing Brad Womack.

Ever since Emily Maynard stopped wearing the $90,000 engagement ring that Bachelor Brad Womack gave her, there have been conflicting reports about who actually did the dumping.

Now, for the first time, Emily has broken her silence, revealing that it was Brad who ditched her — over the phone!

Life & Style can reveal that the 24-year-old told a reporter on June 1 that it’s definitely over between her and the Texas bar owner. “There’s nothing going on between us anymore,” she admitted sadly. “It’s over. He called me and broke up with me. That’s it — he ended the relationship.”

The pair spent a weekend in Austin at the beginning of May, as Life & Style previously reported, in a final effort to save their relationship. “The last time we were together was when we said goodbye at the airport in Austin,” Emily, photographed (above) on June 1 without her ring, confessed. “That was the last time I saw him.”
