Men in Trees has been cancelled! I’m so upset! I loved Men in Trees! Let’s take a moment of silence.
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello reports that the ABC drama Men In Trees has been canceled. Ausiello says he got the news from series creator Jenny Bicks, who is quoted as saying, ”I wish the show had not been moved six times and put onto two long hiatuses. No show could survive that.” Trees, which stars Anne Heche as a relationship coach who has relocated to Alaska, returns with its final run of episodes on May 28. Ausiello reports that Bicks prepared for a possible cancellation by shooting a series finale that will now be tacked onto the season’s last episode, which airs this summer.

The Bachelor’s Andy Baldwin must not have been too serious about Marla Maples. An insider tells Life & Style the 31-year-old is already seeing The Amazing Race’s Shana Wall, 32, who used to date Ryan Seacrest.
And the two reality-show stars aren’t exactly hiding their relationship. On April 15, Andy took Shana to The Ivy in Beverly Hills. “He kissed her while they waited for her car,” says the insider. “A romance is definitely in bloom.” Andy started exchanging flirty e-mails with Shana while he was still dating Marla, says an insider.

This is the best news I’ve heard all day!
Lucy Liu will be back on ABC next season no matter what.
Liu is in negotiations to join the cast of the network’s freshman drama “Dirty Sexy Money,” which has been renewed for a second season. She most recently starred in another ABC freshman drama, “Cashmere Mafia.”
The casting on “Sexy,” where she would be a regular, is formally in second position to “Mafia,” whose chances for renewal are not very good following a low-rated midseason run.
On the ABC Studios-produced show — a primetime soap revolving around the wealthy Darling clan and their spoiled offspring — Liu would join Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin, Natalie Zea, Glenn Fitzgerald, Blair Underwood, Seth Gabel, Zoe McLellan and Jill Clayburgh. Samaire Armstrong, who was a regular during the first season, won’t continue on the show full time.
Liu would play an attorney. It’s not clear whether her character will be associated with Krause’s Nick George, the Darlings’ family lawyer.
Liu has been a fixture on ABC in the past year. In addition to “Mafia,” she also did an arc on the network’s “Ugly Betty.”

I always watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. I can’t help it! It’s painfully addictive!
Well, Deanna Pappas was one of the two final women standing at the end of last season’s The Bachelor. (You know, the one where Brad Womack didn’t pick EITHER women!)

After getting dissed on the last season of The Bachelor, DeAnna Pappas will get another shot at finding love on TV.
Pappas, 26, a real estate agent from Newnan, Georgia, will headline the next season of ABC’s The Bachelorette, airing this summer.
Pappas endured a painful, last-minute rejection by Brad Womack on the Bachelor finale last November.
Even though he had even flown her father in and implied he was going to pick her, he rejected Pappas, as well as the show’s other finalist, Jenni Croft.
“DeAnna and I had something that’s pretty special. But I did not see this crazy love that would turn into a lifetime,” Womack explained to Us.

I freaking miss Men in Trees. I think Men in Trees is my favorite show on TV (although October Road has been fantastic this season!), and it’s been gone for bloody ages! I swear the last episode aired like 2 months ago! I went on ABC’s website to see when a new show will be on, and there’s still 27 days!!! Damn this strike! Would it be horrible to string someone up over this? I mean, I’m a moody stay at home mom. Don’t mess with my TV!!!

Sniff, sniff.

Former Bachelor Andy Baldwin is being shipped off to the Middle East on Monday evening (Hawaiian time), an insider near his U.S. Navy base in Honolulu reveals. Navy doctor Andy is scheduled to spend the next few months in the Middle East before returning to his naval duties in Hawaii in late March. From there, an insider says, Andy is being transferred to Washington, D.C., where he will represent the Navy in legislative matters. “Andy is proud to serve his country,” his friend says. “His life as a celebrity comes second to his dedication to the Navy.” Andy’s romance with Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples is also heating up. According to an insider, Marla promised Andy that she will “wait for him” until his tour of duty is over. “They have great chemistry,” the insider says. “It could lead to marriage.”
