According to Life & Style, Emily Maynard will be the next star of The Bachelorette — and ABC is coming to her.
“It’s official, Emily is the new Bachelorette,” an insider close to Emily tells Life & Style. “ABC is even going to move filming to Charlotte [North Carolina, Emily’s hometown]. It won’t be in LA at all.”
Life & Style first reported that ABC approached the blond beauty to star in the next season of the series.
But she had fans convinced she wasn’t interested. Just last summer she tweeted: “I don’t want to be the Bachelorette.”
Since splitting with The Bachelor’s Brad Womack in May after becoming engaged to him in March, the North Carolina mom has been linked to Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey and Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren, whom Emily has denied dating.
I like the idea of having Emily as the Bachelorette – but I’m having a hard time buying it. If she is going to do it, she’s not going to be the greatest. She’s so shy and quiet! How is she going to handle the pressure of being in the middle of all those men!?
Emily Maynard’s relationship with The Bachelor’s Brad Womack didn’t work out, but the 25-year-old’s relationship with ABC remains strong!
It’s so strong, in fact, the network has asked Emily to be the next Bachelorette, Life & Style has learned!
“It’s basically a done deal,” a source close to Emily, a single mom, tells the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. “She hasn’t signed the contract yet, but she’s fully on board.”
Emily, who’s the mother of 6-year-old Ricki, tweeted just last summer “I don’t want to be the Bachelorette,” but now she seems to have had a change of heart.
Since splitting with Brad in May after becoming engaged to him in March during season 15 of The Bachelor, the North Carolina mom has been linked to Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey and Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren, whom she has denied dating.
But Emily is ready to find love again, and ABC believes she’s the perfect choice to star on The Bachelorette: “Emily is America’s sweetheart,” adds the source. “Fans are going to be thrilled! Everyone loved her.”
What do you think? I would have SOOOOOOOOOOOOO rather had her as the Bachelorette last season over Ashley. Ashley drove me nuts!
Ben Flajnik is ready to find love again after having his heart broken by “Bachelorette” Ashley Hebert.
ABC has released a sneak peek of the upcoming season of “The Bachelor,” which of course involves tons of hookups, a slew of cat fights, and all imaginable forms of girl drama.
“The Bachelorette” and ‘The Bachelor’ has THE WORST track record when it comes actually finding love. Another couple have announced they’re splitting this afternoon.
Though they initially postponed their wedding so the bride-to-be could recover from knee surgery,Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have now called the whole thing off!
“Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship,” Ali’s rep tells toofab. “As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple’s privacy.”
The couple met during Season 6 of the ABC reality show, which ended with Roberto popping the question in Bora Bora – telling Ali, “I love you. I want to grow old with you, I want to have a beautiful, beautiful family.”
With Roberto and Ali splitting, that leaves original Bachelorette Trista Sutter and the latest Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert, as the only two still with the man they picked on the show.
Who’s surprised… anyone? Anyone? I’m happy Trista and Ryan are together – but holy cow…. this show is a train wreck (that might be why I love it).
It’s only taken them six months, but now the world finally gets to meet the twins of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.
During a sit down interview with Barbara Walters, Mariah and her hubby invited Barbara into their Manhattan home and introduced her to their new additions, Moroccan Scott and Monroe, born April 30.
The Grammy Award winner will also reveal her secrets on how she slimmed down and got back into shape after giving birth to twins. ”She’s so focused right now on every aspect. She’s going to come back and knock out the world,” tells her hubby, Nick Cannon. “She’s getting in shape.”
The interview airs on ABC Friday October 21st at 10:00pm.
