Are you excited?
Apparently the powers that be behind “90210″ have decided to throw Rumer Willis into the mix. She is set to play the role of Gia for at least one episode in the series.
Her role has been described as a “punky cute lesbian who isn’t afraid to speak her mind”, according to a CW rep.
Gia is set to work at the Blaze News along with Navid, Adrianna, and Silver.
Thoughts?

Kate Hudson may be changing zip codes from Malibu to 90210! Although her rep denies that Kate will be on the show, an insider tells In Touch that the A-list actress has agreed to make a rare TV guest appearance on an upcoming episode of The CW drama as a personal favor to her good friend, actress Sara Foster.
“Kate’s a movie star and doesn’t usually do TV shows,” an insider tells In Touch. “But she and Sara are pals and have always wanted to work together, so Kate said she’d do it.”
Sara recently joined the cast of 90210 as Jen, the sexy older sister of AnnaLynne McCord’s character, Naomi. Kate was a fan of the original show, calling herself “a total 90210 girl.”

EW.com can exclusively report that Dustin Milligan, who has played good guy jock (and one half of 90210’s central super couple) Ethan, won’t be returning to the show in the fall — at least not full time.
90210’s new boss, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, recently told EW that the soap’s second season would be “significantly” different than the first.
Reps for The CW and producer Paramount declined comment, but a 90210 insider confirms that The Powers That Be recently informed Milligan that his contract option was not being picked up for next season. Discussions are underway to bring Milligan back in the fall for a multi-episode arc that would wrap up Ethan’s story.
All indications are that Milligan’s exit was strictly a creative decision. “Everyone loves Ethan,” maintains the insider. “There was just a feeling that the character had run its course.” (more…)

90210 star Shenae Grimes has responded to criticism that she’s too thin for TV.
“Shake it off baby!” Grimes told Extra on Wednesday.
Grimes and her co-star AnnaLynne McCord, also addressed rumors of a clothing war between 90210 and Gossip Girl.
“We beat the makeup by far, I’ll tell ya that! But oh my god, Leighton [Meester] – I love her. She rocks that show,” McCord said.
Grimes said that she’d do a crossover show with Gossip Girl: “We have been talking about that since day one.”
Grimes revealed that 90210 alum Shannen Doherty, who has reprised her character on the CW’s revamp, has been a big support.
“She’s been through it all. She’s had people slander her constantly,” Grimes said. “You’re supposed to smile and be like, ‘I’m a happy person.’ What happened with her is that they caught her those times when she didn’t want to have to smile anymore.”
During the ’90s, Doherty was labeled a “bad girl” by the media.
“I was exploring who I was as a person and testing my own boundaries and trying to be a normal 18-, 19-, 20-year-old, and I got raked over the coals,” Doherty told the new issue of Radar. “Many nights I cried myself to sleep over that stuff.”

The CW’s drama 90210 has been picked up for a full season of episodes!
“We’re very excited about the chance to watch this ensemble of newcomers and familiar faces coalesce and grow together as we move forward,” Dawn Ostroff, the President of Entertainment at The CW, said in a statement on Monday.
The two-hour premiere episode was watched by 4.9 million viewers, making it the highest-rated scripted series premiere in the history of the network, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Among coveted viewers aged 18-40-years-old, the show tied with the premiere of CW’s ratings champ, America’s Next Top Model
The first episode of the spin-off featured original cast favorites Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty, who shared the screen with a wide array of fresh faces.
Meanwhile, stars Jessica Stroup and Shenae Grimes are so thin that show producers and costars are poised to take action.
Stroup, 21, is 5-foot-8 but weighs 100 to 105 pounds while Grimes, 18, is 5-foot-3 and stands at a mere 90 pounds, Beverly Hills-based weight-management expert Dr. Joyce Peters estimated to Us.
“The girls were all skinny when they started, but they’re definitely thinner now,” the source added.

The blogosphere is abuzz about the alarming appearance of the new 90210’s skinny cast — Shenae Grimes (left), Jessica Stroup (right) and AnnaLynne McCord (center).
But in an interview with In Touch, Lori Loughlin (who plays Shenae’s mom) attempted to allay concerns about her co-stars’ size. “They are thin, but they’ve been thin since the day I’ve met them,” Lori says. “It’s not like they got on the show and their weight just plummeted.”

She explains that the actresses’ weights line up naturally with their body types. “Shenae is very petite — her frame doesn’t even look like it could carry a lot of weight. Jessica and AnnaLynne are taller, but their frames are so slight,” Lori says, revealing that the girls have good appetites. “I see them eating lunch and candy, and I’ve never seen a girl eat more Chick-fil-A than AnnaLynne! These girls are young and their metabolisms are moving at light speed — they can eat whatever they want.”
