Is Adele working on a new album? That’s what’s buzzing around on Twitter right now. The singer hinted at an album titled ’25’ which would follow up her 2008 album titled ’19’ and 2011’s ’21.’ Her albums are named the same age as herself when they are released. She celebrated her 26th birthday on Monday, but who knows?
“Bye bye 25 … See you again later in the year x,” she wrote, posting a photo of her lying in bed and giving a thumbs up sign.
Her return would be a welcome one: Adele nabbed six Grammys for 21 and dominated the radio with hits like “Rolling in the Deep.” Since then, she’s been busy raising son Angelo, 1½.
But in January, Phil Collins suggested she’d be back in the spotlight soon, telling Inside South Florida he was working on writing songs with Adele.
“I live in a cave, but she’s achieved an incredible amount,” the musician reportedly said. “I really love her voice.”
And don’t expect any sad songs like “Someone Like You” on 25: In 2012, Adele told Vogue her next album (after a well-deserved recording break) would have a happier tone.
“I’m never writing a breakup record again, by the way,” she said. “I’m done with being a bitter witch.”
I can’t wait for her new album! I’ve loved both her previous albums!
Jennifer Lopez, 44, has debuted the new cover artwork for her album A.K.A..
This will be Jennifer’s eight studio album.
The mother to twins Emme and Max, 6, is shown with her hair pulled back into a ponytail on the top of her head. She accessorized the body-baring look with bold gold jewelry, matched to the cover lines of the artwork.
Lopez teased the image via Twitter, saying simply that the project was “coming soon.” The album is expected to hit stores on June 17.
The promotional photo follows the sexual nature of Lopez’s recent releases. She introduced the album with the single “I Luh Ya Papi” with French Montana, which includes lyrics like, “Got that hourglass for you, baby, look at these legs / No brakes, go green, no red / If you wanna kill the body, gotta start with the head / Put it on you, I’mma need about 4-5 beds.”
The “First Love” singer released her last studio album, Love?, in 2011. While the album performed well for Lopez, her most successful venture to date was her 2001 record J. Lo, which was certified multi-platinum and topped album charts worldwide.
I don’t really care for her music anymore. I know a lot of people love her – but her music is just not my thing. Are you excited for her new album?
Ben Affleck has been banned FOR LIFE from the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas because he was caught counting cards.
Ben was in Vegas earlier this week with his wife Jennifer Garner, for a little romantic vacation before he heads to Detroit for several months where he’ll begin filming his new Batman movie.
On Tuesday, casino sources tell TMZ, Affleck was playing blackjack at the high rollers table when security pounced.
According to sources, security informed Affleck he had been deemed an “advantaged player” and was no longer allowed to play blackjack at the Hard Rock. We’re told security had spotted Affleck counting cards … a gambling strategy that involves counting card values to decrease betting risk.
Counting cards isn’t technically illegal, but it can get you kicked out of a casino — which is exactly what happened to Affleck. We’re told security arranged for a car service to take him back to his hotel.
FYI, Affleck is a well-known card shark — back in 2001, he reportedly amassed $800,000 in blackjack winnings (at the Hard Rock no less) by playing three $20,000 blackjack hands at once.
Interesting! I’m surprised we didn’t hear about it sooner!
