A sexy new Calvin Klein billboard in the heart of SoHo is drawing the ire of some spectators.
The underwear ad shows a sweaty, glistening Eva Mendes in sheer lingerie, tugging at the boxer briefs of a studly man.
The sultry billboard on Houston and Lafayette Sts. is one of a series of Calvin Klein ads that has raised eyebrows in the neighborhood.
“Some of us don’t want to expose our kids to something like this – it’s borderline pornography,” said Carl Wilson, 55, an MTA worker from Queens.
“I think it’s sexy as hell,” said Carlos Gamez, 24, who works at the nearby Adidas store. “It makes me want to go out and buy some drawers like that. This one was way sexier than any before.”
Calvin Klein pulled an orgy-themed ad in June after taking heat from neighbors and a Christian advocacy group. That billboard showed a teenage girl in a threesome with two young men – and another passed out nearby. Fans of the sexy ads say the new one is hotter than any that came before.
“It looks great, this new one. It’s more sexy then the ones before,” said Pepito Patamine. 48, of Queens. “If they want to sell panties, it’s perfect.”
Calvin Klein has a long history of advertisements that push the envelope. They pioneered the “heroin chic” look in the 1990s with strung-out-looking models, complete with pale skin and dark circles under their eyes. A Calvin Klein television ad featuring Mendes was banned from American airwaves last year.

No way she looks like that! I’m leaning more towards Photoshop! What do you think?
Demi Moore tells the December issue of W magazine that her film career has been stifled all because of her age.
“The frustrating part is that the type of roles I’d be interested in are not really coming to me.” says Moore, “I hate to say it’s a function of my age [47]-but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35.”
Here’s more:
On being labeled a “cougar” for marrying 31-year-old Ashton Kutcher: “I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl. I don’t know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, ‘There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?.I’d prefer to be called a Puma.”
On using Twitter to transform her public image: “People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans.I can’t impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They’re getting to see who I am.”
On leaving Hollywood: “One of the things that hit me very strongly was the realization that what we do is not who we are. I had worked my whole life. Until I became a mother, that’s the only way I measured my value.”
On Ashton Kutcher: “The most overwhelming part of meeting someone that you already felt you had such a deep and old connection with is that your feelings are greater than the time you’ve had to actually be with one another,” she says. “Now we’ve had the physical time together. The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible. As a married woman, I am and will always be Mrs. Kutcher. But I have my career as Demi Moore.”

“We are over the moon!” the couple said in a statement. “It’s something we’ve wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it’s actually happening.”
Balancing motherhood with her new role on USA’s drama “White Collar” will be a welcome adjustment for the star, best known for her work on “Saved By the Bell” and the original “Beverly Hills 90210.”
“I’ve never done it — it’s going to be a whole new thing,” she told PEOPLE in May when talking about the idea of becoming a mom.
