It makes me feel old to think that she started her residency THREE YEARS AGO, and is trying to break out of Vegas shows with new music on her album Glory (currently bumping the number 1 spot). So, Brit’s gotta do a lot of press, and she’s doing an okay job of it. Brit talked to writer Louise Gannon , and wants to make a point that she’s much more comfortable with who she is than she used to be.
On her anxiety: ‘I moved to Los Angeles when I was very young’ she said, ‘I was so under scrutiny. If a hair was out of place, I’d be so anxious. I would get very anxious about so many things.’
On her children: ‘Becoming a mother and being with my boys [Jayden, 9, Sean Preston, 10] has made me so much more accepting of myself. I’m their mom, whatever. That has been a really big thing for me over these last few years.’
And best of all, she’s okay going on bad dates:‘I had a really bad date’, she told us, ‘I mean, it was really bad. Iââ¬â¢ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldnââ¬â¢t like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost six pounds.ââ¬â¢ [She continues] ââ¬ËWe went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasnââ¬â¢t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didnââ¬â¢t work […] He just wasnââ¬â¢t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didnââ¬â¢t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesnââ¬â¢t make you any different.ââ¬â¢(Via Marie Claire)
OMG, can you imagine being a fly on the wall of Britney’s bad date? I LOVE IT. Now that’s an interesting tidbit in an interview!
