Tara Reid is 40 and looks skinnier than ever, as shown by these pictures from Sharknado 4: Awakens taken last month. Now, we pretty much KNOW Tara Reid through three things: American Pie, Sharknado and her body. She’s had a scrutiny placed on her body because of some botched liposuction issues, which sheââ¬â¢s been open about in interviews. Sheââ¬â¢s also been more healthy looking in the past. Tara has heard the complaints that sheââ¬â¢s too thin and that she should eat a burger and she made an open call to have people stop body shaming her, thankyouverymuch.
After years of being under fire for being too skinny, Tara Reid speaks out to In Touch magazine in a new exclusive interview about her body.
ââ¬ÅI feel great about my body. People always tell me to eat a burger ââ¬â I love burgers! If I were to gain 10 pounds, Iââ¬â¢d be asked why I got fat. Iââ¬â¢m thin ââ¬â and Iââ¬â¢m good with that,ââ¬Â Tara admits to In Touch.
ââ¬ÅPeople need to stop with the body shaming!ââ¬Â declares the American Pie actress. ââ¬ÅI wonââ¬â¢t let what anyone says stop me from enjoying my life.ââ¬Â
Known for her party girl reputation, Tara admits, ââ¬ÅI like to have fun when Iââ¬â¢m not working. But Iââ¬â¢m professional while Iââ¬â¢m at work, and Iââ¬â¢ve never been in trouble or arrested, so I donââ¬â¢t deserve it!ââ¬Â
ââ¬ÅI truly feel I need to constantly prove myself in this business. Iââ¬â¢ve done 46 movies, and itââ¬â¢s still tough to get roles when youââ¬â¢re misunderstood and judged,ââ¬Â she says of her misconstrued reputation.
ââ¬ÅIââ¬â¢ve learned to not take things too seriously,ââ¬Â Tara tells In Touch, ââ¬Åand that not everyone is going to love you.ââ¬Â
Now, it’s a difficult situation, because unlike lots of people who are judged if they lose or gain, I feel like nobody would tell Tara she’s fat if she gained 10 lbs, because she’s so frighteningly underweight. They’d say she looked healthier. But again, it’s her life and she can do with it what she wants. So yeah, people SHOULD stop telling her what to eat.
