if you dug the Ciara/Russell Wilson nuptials just as much as we did, you’re gonna love some HOT DEETS!
Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, the woman behind the curtain of this fabulous affair, opened up to The Knot in an exclusive interview about orchestrating this big ‘ol English wedding. And it wasn’t all lace and crumpets, people! Firstly, the location got rerouted three different times:
ââ¬ÅI did the whole thing ââ¬â three times,ââ¬Â Weiss reveals. ââ¬ÅThey were first getting married in North Carolina, but they called it off due to the transgender bathroom laws.ââ¬Â
The couple then hoped to marry in theàCity of Light. ââ¬ÅThey were gonna go to Paris and it ended up being [Couture] Fashion Week,ââ¬Â says Weiss. ââ¬ÅAnd it was really difficult.ââ¬Â
Ultimately, the stars settled on a venue in a neighboring country. ââ¬ÅWe ended up in London,ââ¬Â recalls Weiss. ââ¬ÅThey wanted to be away. And we found a castle that was an hour out of Liverpool and they had about 110 guests.ââ¬Â
And the wedding itself went off without a hitch.
ââ¬ÅAll whites and creams,ââ¬Â the planner notes. ââ¬ÅFor dinner, it was big centerpieces. And then, the surprise after dinner was they had Earth, Wind & Fire perform in a separate tent. That was really beautiful. And it just worked. Thank the Lord!ââ¬Â
Ciaraââ¬â¢s bridal party included Lala Anthony, Kelly Rowland and Serena Williams, who wasnââ¬â¢t able to make the wedding in person due toàWimbledon.
ââ¬ÅI knew all the girls,ââ¬Â Weiss adds. ââ¬ÅWhen theyââ¬â¢re bridesmaids, you become close with the bridesmaids too. Theyââ¬â¢re all so lovely. When I say lovely, kind, spiritual, low-maintenance, all of them.ââ¬Â

Sounds like perfection. No word on the food, but hey, I’m open to hearing more….
