Earlier this week, word broke that our (hopefully not) next first Lady Melania Trump posed nude in a photo spread for a French adult magazine in 1995. And like most potential scandals, now the shoot has some back and resurfaced, more than two decades later. So it goes in politics, right?
The newspaper published several rare pics of the Slovenian native, now 46, on Sunday, July 31, that show her wearing nothing but high heels at age 25 during a photo shoot in Manhattan with French photographer Alé de Basseville. The headline on the shocking front page of the Post reads: “The Ogle Office.”
“Melania was super great and a fantastic personality and she was very kind with me,” de Basseville told the paper. He also noted that the former model — who was then known by the moniker Melania K. — “never once” felt uncomfortable posing for the nude shots.
The images were originally published in the January 1996 issue of Max, a now-defunct men’s magazine, but have not surfaced online until now.
“I was quite surprised when I saw the pictures because it was … a racier shoot than I expected,” an unidentified fashion industry insider who was at the 1995 photo shoot told the Post on Sunday. “But Melania seemed very comfortable with the whole thing, and she was very professional.”

The pictures were taken almost a decade before Mel married Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, and while I don’t think it’s wrong that she took the pictures, it is funny how “being herself” is okay, nay, celebrated.
Donald, 70, told the Post on Sunday, “Melania was one of the most successful models and she did many photo shoots, including for covers and major magazines. This was a picture taken for a European magazine prior to my knowing Melania. In Europe, pictures like this are very fashionable and common.”
Okay, Donald. NOW you’re being sensible when it comes to YOUR camp.
