Oh good, this seems healthy.
I don’t really talk about Real Housewives stars so much, mostly because I don’t care. I mean, I like the shows and all but it’s a particular brand of celebrity crazy that gets kind of exhausting That being said, when I read about RHOCââ¬â¢s Vicki Gunvalson dealing with the fact that her then-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, was a conman who had faked Non-Hodkinââ¬â¢s Lymphoma by lying and falsifying documents and that sheââ¬â¢s lost 22 pounds starving herself? Well, I’ll make an exception. Here’s what happened, in her own words:
When life gives you changes change everything. I lost 22 pounds. My face has settled in from my surgery from three years ago finally, itââ¬â¢s so embarrassing I looked like a freak. But, you got to go through that. Iââ¬â¢m a work in progress.
It was over a three month period and I cut out all alcohol. 500 calories a day. No carbs, I just did lettuce and grapefruit in the morning, celery carrots, just very raw. Nothing really for lunch. Iââ¬â¢d just do hot lemon water. At night Iââ¬â¢d have salad and protein. It worked.
I was at such a depressed state. As you get older, Iââ¬â¢m 54 now, your metabolism changes. I put on like 10 pounds from my 40s to my 50s. I never felt strongââ¬Â¦ I wanted to feel like Ok, Iââ¬â¢m going to be single now, Iââ¬â¢ve got to look my best.
At 5ââ¬â¢7ââ¬Â³ Vicki should be eating around 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day and she would be losing weight sustainably at 1-2 pounds a week but hey, I think heartache is the ultimate diet, second: revenge. So that sounds like a huge thing that motivated her, even though this is NOT a healthy way to lose weight.
