Jamie Lynn Spears loves her big sis (just like the rest of us).
In May, Brit-Brit performed a showstopping medley of hits at the Billboard Music Awards, where she took home the Icon Award and she’s in the third year of her Piece of Me residency at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, a gig she’ll maintain for at least two more years. Not to shabby. And little Jamie Lynn (who is now a country star? What?) couldn’t be prouder:
“My sister is in a badass place right now,” the country singer-songwriter, 25, said to People about her big sis. “I think we need to focus on what an amazing place everyone is in, especially her. She’s kicking ass right now!”
And if you’re confused about Jamie Lynn’s career, here’s an update: she scored a No. 5 Hot Country Song with “I Got the Boy,” a track she co-wrote for Jana Kramer; she played her Grand Ole Opry debut in March AND she’ll releasing her new single, “Sleepover,” on June 24. Oh yeah, and she has a documentary coming out called, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out, airs at 10/9c on TLC. Who would’ve thought?
