So sad…and strange?
Actor Anton Yelchin died Sunday morning strangely, and I don’t quite know what to make of it (aside from being sad, and of course, feeling for those who were close to him).
The 27-year-old actor, who is known for his roles in “Star Trek” and “Alpha Dog,” was killed early Sunday morning after getting pinned by his own car. I’m not quite sure how it happened, and I don’t think the authorities do, either. Yelchin’s friends stopped by after he was supposed to meet them hours earlier for a rehearsal. According to TMZ, they went to his San Fernando Valley home at around 1 AM and found him pinned between his car and a brick mailbox, which was attached to a security gate.
Law enforcement officials say that engine was running when his body was discovered, and the car was in neutral. The driveway was on a fairly steep incline but it’s unclear why he got out of the car.
