After a lengthy courtship, one star is ready for her close-up!
As we reported earlier, Bradley Cooper is now fancying himself a director and is hell-bent on re-making “A Star Is Born” as his first feature. Ambitious, Bradley! Anyhow, he had his sights on Beyonce, but she said now.
So now, someone else is on board, and negotiations are currently underway. Who could it be? You can know, if you stay with us after the jump!
It’s LADY GAGA, y’all!
Cooper will helm and star in the Warner Bros. film, and met with dozens of actresses for the role after Beyonce bowed out due to scheduling conflicts with her latest tour. Sources reveal that Gaga was high on the actor’s list from the get-go, but who knows. Anyhow, she’s into it now, so the thing’s that much closer to happening.
This marks the third time the film has been remade, with the most recent version starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Cooper came on as director following his work with Clint Eastwood on the box office smash hit “American Sniper,” because Eastwood had to bow out and suggested Cooper direct if he was looking to do that kind of thing.
The studio is eyeing a February 2017 production start date.
