Nick Cannon has more to say. Is anyone listening?

There have been many rumors that the America’s Got Talent host refused to sign his divorce papers with Mariah Carey, for whatever reason (CODE: media attention). But, Nick shut that sh*t down, accusing the media of blowing it out of proportion…though he’s not said his peace just yet.

Dude dropped a freestyle on Thursday about the drama, tellingly titled Divorce Papers! And it’s as sad as you’d think, though Nick told KarenCivil.com that the new track isn’t about attention or bad blood, but about the media frenzy surrounding his divorce:

“My purpose for creating this Divorce Papers freestyle was not to feed the tabloid chatter, or even to diffuse it. This was strictly a creative way for me to express my frustrations with the media, the naysayers, myself and ultimately with the voices in my head.”

Dude finished song a week ago, but was conflicted about putting it out to the public, adding:

“I’ve been sitting on the song for almost a week now because I was really torn on whether or not I should release it. The last thing I would ever want to do is add fuel to the fire, especially a fire that was fabricated by the press. But, ultimately I felt it was necessary to clear the air and set the record straight once and for all.”

Ugh, yes, this seems totally “NECESSARY.” Anyhow, listen to it below and tell us what you think!
