Very sad…but good to talk about.
Gordon Ramsay‘s wife Tana suffered a miscarriage five months into her pregnancy, and while it’s not something our culture really talks about. Hearing celebrities talk about it is pretty brave, and I’m sure will help others heal from their own miscarriages. So good on you, Ramsays!
The celebrity chef shared the sad news on Facebook, explaining that he, his wife, 41, and their four children are “healing as a family:”
“Tana and I want to thank you so much for your support over the past couple of weeks,” he captioned a photo with his wife. “We had a devastating weekend as Tana has sadly miscarried our son at five months. We’re together healing as a family, but we want to thank everyone again for all your amazing support and well wishes. I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done.”
The couple (who were married in 1996) are the parents of Megan, 18, twins Jack and Holly, 16, and Matilda, 14, and announced that they were expecting their fifth child in April, 14 years after the birth of their youngest child.
So sad…but good will come of the open-ness of this news. I know it!
