Shake it off, Adele!
Last week, we reported that music producer Tony Visconti (who worked on many of David Bowieââ¬â¢s most iconic albums) chose to throw shade at pop music in general and name-checked Adele for having a “manipulated voice.” Here’s exactly what he said:
ââ¬ÅYou turn the radio on and itââ¬â¢s fluff, you are listening to 90% computerised voices. We know Adele has a great voice but itââ¬â¢s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We donââ¬â¢t know. Thereââ¬â¢s a sound to pop now that is so perfect itââ¬â¢s boring, because everything is fixed.ââ¬Â
And listen, this is just this guy (who arguably knows a LOT about music) who is trying to get viewers for his new reality show. And I don’t blame him for that. But coming after Adele is a big deal- because she has an INSANE voice she’s proven live many, many times.
So Adele responded to Tony Visconti this weekend and it’s BRILLS.àAccording to Consequence of Sound, Adele told an audience: ââ¬ÅSome dickhead tried to say that my voice was not me on recordââ¬Â¦ Dude, suck my d-ck.ââ¬Â Here the video (itââ¬â¢s a bit NSFW-ish for her language, except you canââ¬â¢t really hear what sheââ¬â¢s saying because the fans are so annoying). But she’s right. and she’s still the QUEEN.
