Time to pay the piper, Vanessa Hudgens. Too bad you’re rich, or this would hurt more…
If you remember, around Valentine’s Day Hudgens posted a photo of a carving she made in Arizona’s Red Rock mountains bearing the names “Vanessa” and “Austin” on her Instagram page, along with other couple-y photos of her and her dude Austin Butler.
Well, word got back to the U.S. Forest Service that Hudge had been chipping away at protected land, and Hudgens got served with a misdemeanor count of damaging a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land. Well, they made her pay a WHOPPING $1,000 dollars. I know? Not much for a rich celebrity. Sigh.
At least the money was used by a volunteer group called Friends of the Forest to restore the rock wall, which typically is done by scrubbing or sanding the rock. Again, the U.S. Forest Service could have got her for 15,000 maybe more! They can do what they want. And yet, a measly 1,000 seems like an easy lesson to learn when you’re rich as hell and trying to proclaiming your love in an Arizona forest.
