Selena Gomez, maybe work some of this s*it out?
I’m sure one would be damaged after a years-long, under-the-microscope relationship with Justin Bieber, but Selly’s interview with Marie Claire for their June issue kinda sounds…wounded? She’s always seemed somewhat fragile to me, but seemed to hide it well in interviews except when she did this weird Freudian slip that made it seem like she had leukemia. Anyhow, she talked to the mag about dating in a post-Bieberdick world, and honestly I’m kind of concerned for her.ÃÂ Here are some highlights:
On dating:ÃÂ “I’ve been dating. I’ve been having the best time. But I don’t trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I’m going to have fun.”
On being known for who she dates with not who she is: “I would try to promote something that I loved, and the entire interview would be about my personal life. I would leave a room feeling defeated, feeling embarrassed, but I would always make sure to put that smile on my face because I wasn’t going to let them get to me.”
On taking control of her career: “I had to not be afraid to ask dumb questions, which means I asked a million things about ever single step that I was making.”

Sigh. It would be really hard to trust NOBODY, but I guess that’s the deal when you’re a celeb.
Who do YOU think Selena Gomez should date next?
