Bad move, JLo.
Yesterday we reported that Jennifer Lopez‘s single, “Ain’t Your Mama” dropped, and that it was produced by Dr. Luke. And hey, maybe it was made before all of this came to light, maybe not. The point is, we’re probably going to need a statement by JLo soon, or she’s going to go the way of the Dr.
“Ain’t Your Mama” — a Latin-infused, not so catchy (but very JLo) tirade against man-boys — was co-written and produced by Dr. Luke, Sony’s so-called “super-producer,” reports Idolator. And hey, everyone says Dr. Luke sucks but that he’s a genius…well, I wouldn’t necessarily call this genius.
Lopez is signed to Epic Records, which is under Sony. Gottwald, who founded Sony label Kemosabe Records, has also collaborated with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Britney Spears.
Ain’t Your Mama,” is streaming on Apple Music and Spotify, if you want to check it out. No comment yet from Lopez or Epic…but if they think people won’t read the liner notes, than JLo and Epic think people are way less savvy than they are. Bad call, Jennifer.
