Bella Thorne, maybe you should do a little more research on what you’re wearing.
The actress tried to pass off her ensemble as being cruelty-free, but girl was WRONG!
Tuesday, Bella posted the pic (above) of herself on Instagram and even felt the need to call out anti-fur backlash with a caption that read, “Dear internet trolls, it’s faux fur.” The problem is…people were quick to call BS on her faux fur comment, as the piece looked identical to the Tierra Striped Fur Jacket by Alice & Olivia which retails for $1,700, according to TMZ.
The item specifically says it’s made of GENUINE rabbit and fox fur from China, so, uh, yeah, not exactly what I call a humane piece of clothing.
In a pretty good backpedaling effort, a rep of Bella’s told TMZ that the actress was given the jacket during a photo shoot, and was “told it was faux fur.” The rep says now that Bella is aware …and she’ll never wear it again.
