After a battle with stage 4 cancer, reality star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola has passed away.
According to TMZ, the “Mob Wives” personality was surrounded by friends and family on Thursday at a Manhattan hospital when she passed away. On Wednesday evening there was some back and forth whether Ang had actually died or not (yikes), but her rep released a statement early this morning saying Ang passed at 3:01 AM ET, and family members confirmed. The rep added … Ang’s fans “were some of the most special people in her world, and she loved you immensely. Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end.”
She was first diagnosed with throat cancer in April when doctors discovered a tumor in her throat and removed it shortly after. In December she learned that her cancer had returned and spread to her lungs and brain.
At a mere 55-years-old, Raiola is survived by her two kids, Raquel and Anthony and has six grandkids. Very sad.
R.I.P.- you were one of a kind, Ang!
