Coldplay? Who’s Coldplay?
After Coldplay’s G rated yawnfest and Bruno Mars‘ being all predictable in his leather pajamas, I gotta say, Beyonce– but more importantly her backup dancers- gave us the most interesting and provocative show last night. The dangers made a stirring political statement during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, as their outfits appear to be a tribute to the Black Panther movement and their “Justice 4 Mario Woods” sign reinforced their political edge.
Bey was flanked by backup dancers who wore berets, black leather and all raised their first, symbolic of the Panthers (albeit they did so next to Tina Knowles, arguably, uh, NOT such a provocative political figure). Below are some of the dancers posing with that sign I talked about that that read “Justice 4 Mario Woods,” the man shot and killed by San Francisco cops.
Bold sign to hold in SF- and a bold choice on the part of Bey’s camp. I LOVE IT!
