The two got engaged mid-August, but don’t get it twisted: Julianne Hough is in no rush to wed fiancé Brooks Laich.
Her Mormon father has advised that “the minute you get engaged, you have to set a date,” but Hough says that the two are “just really enjoying” this stage in their relationship:
“In Mormon culture, three months is a long time to be engaged,” she says. “But we plan on being together forever, so we have time.”
UH, OBVI. It’s not like the two of them aren’t busy. Hough is rehearsing to star as Sandy in Fox’s upcoming Grease: Live (airing Jan. 31) and Laich, is spending his weeks traveling across the country for NHL games. So you know, they have a lot on their plate.
That being said, I’m suuuure Julianne will be all over insta with wedding stuff once that gets underway, and I am NOT looking forward to the obnoxiously overzealous actress/dancer’s posts. But hey, I’m a real Daria Debbie Downer over here with a low tolerance for instagram selfies.
Are you pumped for Julianne’s nuptials?
