A music legend is gone.

David Bowie died Sunday from cancer at the age of 69, which really does mean that the world has lost one of the most influential people in music history.

According to TMZ, Bowie was surrounded by his family when he died, who were there for him when he initially got his cancer diagnosis 18 months ago.

Though it’s hard to qualify or quantify Bowie’s impact, his hits which included songs like  “Major Tom,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Let’s Dance,” “Under Pressure,” and “Modern Love,” most of his work was incredibly innovative in the realm of classic, punk, glam and modern rock.

Enjoy one of ICYDK’s favorite tunes, and give a moment to remember this great man.
