LOL (Lots of Lopez) in 2016!
Sure, the show that she’s been judging forever is ending (American Idol, anyone?) and Shades of Blue on NBC looks horrible, but hey, the woman makes a lot of money and could beat me up in .04 seconds, no problem. Jennifer Lopez is also the cover of the February issue of InStyle magazine, which hits newsstands on the 8th, and she’s alll about who she is in 2016. Dlisted reports:
On misconceptions about her personality: ââ¬ÅI think once I started doing American Idol, people really got to know my real personality. I think maybe before there were a lot of misconceptions about me being a real diva or a problem or being very demanding and things like that. And then once I did that show they could see my true personality, which was kind of just an emotional, happy person who was actually nice. I think there was a misconception that I actually wasnââ¬â¢t [nice]. I donââ¬â¢t know why they do that to women in this business, but they tend to. A lot of us are really just like any one of your friends. Iââ¬â¢m a real girlsââ¬â¢ girl and I love hanging out with my besties and things like that. As unusual as my life is, Iââ¬â¢m very normal and kind of down to earth.ââ¬Â
On life before stardom: ââ¬ÅI was sleeping on a cot at a dance studio before I hit it big. My life was about pounding the pavement, breaking away from under my mom and dadââ¬â¢s wings and going off and flying on my own. I needed that moment.ââ¬Â
On being a woman in Hollywood: ââ¬ÅI am happy to be one of the people who are breaking the mold. We canââ¬â¢t keep acting like we are in the ââ¬â¢50s. Women are strong. Women are bold. And now it is reflected in our art.ââ¬Â
On 2016: ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s gonna be a big year for me. I have [American] Idol, I have Shades [of Blue], I have my [Las] Vegas residency beginning. I have so much stuff that weââ¬â¢re working on on the branding side. I donââ¬â¢t know how Iââ¬â¢d name it. Itââ¬â¢s gonna be a J.Lo year though. Itââ¬â¢s gonna be a real J.Lo year, whether you like it or not!ââ¬Â

As Dlisted mentioned, back in 2008 she never wanted to be called J.Lo again, but now, like fashion, dumb nicknames come full circle.
What do you think about J.Lo’s upcoming projects?
