The Walking Dead finally reveals the fate of Glenn Rhee

This post contains spoilers for last night’s episode of AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead titled “Heads Up”. If you have yet to see the episode, then avert your eyes until you have. We also speculate on future episodes based on the comic books, so read on at your own risk…

You’ve been warned!

In last night’s episode of the walker drama, we learned right away that fan favorite Glenn Rhee is actually alive. He was using Nicholas’ body as a meat shield when he fell on top of Glenn. Glenn was able to use the opportunity to scoot himself underneath the dumpster while walkers devoured Nicholas’ body. After he was sufficiently covered in zombie guts, the herd dissipated so that he could free himself.

He runs into Enid who provides him with water, but no answers as to what went down in Alexandria with the attack from the Wolves. He catches up with her and vows to protect her on the way back home. She fills up some green balloons that are used as a means of letting Maggie know that Glenn is still alive and kicking.

It seems that our celebrations are short-lived as the church just outside of the wall keeled over and took down a section of the wall itself. The herd is coming into Alexandria and there isn’t much anyone can do to stop it at this point.

We see trouble in the future for Carl as Ron broke into the armory to get some bullets. We see Ron skulking around and if the comics are correct, it could cause Carl to lose an eye in the walker takeover.

We have also heard rumblings that Negan is coming in the season finale – and with him, he’ll be taking Glenn’s head to show everyone that he’s serious.
